I have been reading this thread from the start. And I think alitan has given it a right direction. I fully agree with his post. DEVs should consider "How to solve this issue?" seriously.

can XOOPS compete with joomla?

To me, sure it can. XOOPS is more user friendly and easy to manage even for a user like me.

Certainly there is something to be done with the graphics and theme stuff.

With all your respect, there will be less than 10% people that will consider the loading time a reason. Other 90% will be more happy to have a good design.

OOppss.

Once again a silly question.

But I never knew that these tags work only for auto format.

I change the title, There is nothing wrong with Custome Block. Its something wrong with my understanding.
I am such a stupid.

I was avoiding it for some time coz i was not using it much. But now its seriously troubling me.

I can't seem to uses Standard XOOPS Tags like

<b> works But [b] doesnt.


I can't change the text colour, size or font styly.

It works fine when i use the plain text. If i use any of the feature, It appears as it is. (along with the tags)

I am using XOOPS 2.0.13.2

Help Me Please.

Its because i am already using Latest & Resent News block to show the software & hardware related news.

To show site news Presenty I am using Custome Block but was thinking to have any other module for this that can keep track of the previous site news as well.

And why some module ??

Thats Mainly beacuse
I want to keep track of previous site news
I want to use the feature "Read More"

I am on XOOPS 2.0.13.2

Hi,

I want to know that
Is there any simple module that can be used to display site news in the main page in the form of center-center block ??

Ofcourse News Module can be used but I just want to dsplay one or two center blocks that will only have Site News (some updates or addition of thing).

I want to use the feature ("Ream More") like news module.
May be archive opition as well where people can see the previous site news.

I hope my words are understandable.

XM-memberstats ... With worst problem

Hi there

I am here again coz this thing is killing me.

In user online list i see people that was online about 24 (or even more) hours before.

So This module is not showing user online at that time.

Is there any other modue ?? or is there any solution to this issue.

Thankx for the reply.

May be i was not clear before. But thats not what i m looking for.

I want to count that which user has send/refer how many people to the site.

I have found this script that does what i want but it is to used with IPB only.
