Hi!

I have CBB installed and I'd like to basically have two forum categories with one category showing up on one page and another category on another page and never the twain shall meet (if you get my drift). It would be really handy to just use CBB to manage everything, but it doesn't seem to do it out of the box. I see my choices as trying to hack my way through this approach, or installing CBB twice (possible or not, I don't know), or adding another BB.

Any advise would be appreciated.

I had a lot of trouble, too. Are you on the latest CBB? If you are and you are having trouble, this is what I ended up doing: I did a clean install into a test site and I compared file structures. It turned out that something had happened and my user and user_profile and user_profile_fields files hadn't gotten updated properly. Once I cleaned up that problem, everything was fixed. Good luck!

I would so love a tell a friend about this site module. Does anybody know of one? Can anyone offer to help me if I do most of the work? I haven't built a module yet, but I'm willing to build this one if there is someone who will be available to anwser questions and give me direction if I get stuck.

That would work, too, if you wanted the colors of each block to always remain the same. Check out my site: ARTwire. A block is defined with a different background color many places.

I upgraded to CBB2.2 but it did not solve the issue. I found this line in post.php and it looked like it updated the user file and not the profile file, but I couldn't figure out how the # of posts got updated.

$sql = sprintf("UPDATE %s SET posts=posts-1 WHERE uid = %u", $this->db->prefix("users"), $post->getVar('uid'));

Do you know what calls what to update posts, regdate and the other functions?

CBB Help!

Hi! My site is up and fantastic but I'm still experiencing some issues. Please help guide me in a general direction!

The field Posts as long as a slew of others (including last_login) seems to have moved to the profile table and now it are never getting updated!

I don't know if I'm working with a bad file or bad module or what. I've redownloaded and recopied to no avail.

Can anyone tell me basically how XOOOPs updates the profile table and/or suggest any programs to look at?

I'm also having other trouble with the user profile fields because the XOOPS site has all these fantastic options such as email notification and all the stuff that was originally stored in the user table and now none of that stuff is available to me. I would very much appreciate it if someone could offer any help.
