Happy new year from me too !!

Ok this thread shows that the community and XOOPS are not dead, and will not be till all xoopsers loose our faith and switch to another cms (this won't gonna happen).

Somewhere (in the current thread) i read about ubuntu. Yes ubuntu is fantastic user friendly and open source.

Here in greece in my university gave us a nice package containing 2 cd's one full version and one live ubuntu cd.

This has to do with marketing and again I have to say that marketing is really important.
There are books that are about selling and market everything, but we have not some junk product, we have a super cms with dozens of features and lots of benefits. So if we promote it right i think that we will succeed.

The big secret is , to give the international sites (speeking as a greek XOOPS support team member) the authority to make little or big promotions from stickers, cards, to seminars and cds.

Think of that.

Now how wil we transfer this responsibility from the XOOPS team to the international teams I don't know but I think that this will not be so complicated.

The above code is correct.

To display your rss feed to personalized google page you have to "add content" from by clicking the link to add content.
There you have to write this :http://my site/backend.php
So if you want your visitors to add your rss to their google page you have to provide the above link.

I think its a better idea too ! But we need a team to handle this.

This could be work through the donation module , someone makes a donation and as comment sends the address and t-shirt size and then the team sends the t-shirt.

So the donated money goes directly to bank account and the t-shirts are produced every month or when there is out of stock.

in the language folder > in your language > in global.php at the last lines there is a definition wich defines the encoding.

Have you deleted the files of templates_c folder (without index.htm) ??

Also if you have cache enabled please disable it.

Can you make a background with this like the tux ??? And have some php code (pixelfont) fading in the background. Will look really nice.

Chaotic site ! I mean you have to tidy up a little your theme.
The menu is huge. Try to make a navbar with some nice images to make the site easy to navigate. Allso to much information at the main page.
If the visitor wants realy to see something it hasn't to be right in front of him.
Also i see a lot of advertisemets. Try to incorporate them into articles and not directly to front page. Sorry for that but when I see those sites I think that are junk and try only to get easy money.
If you want to make some money from advertisements, write articles take videos and present them on your site.
For example you could write about what you can find with the Thai search engine (benefits)
Or write about thai night life and there have advertisements of bars clubs.
Write about hobbys in thai and advertise local sports.
Write a newsletter with new events.
etc...

With content you could earn some money for sure.

I think this is a very heavy project for only your team. The purpose is to unite the power of the best article modules and make one very good. Think that every team has already the knowledge and does not have to reinvent the wheel ! So this module will be produced rapidly.

Look inside the theme.html perhaps the theme doesn't use the outside file but has the same code.
