Is it possible to apply a background image to a template?
I want to put an image behind a random quote block. I've tried doing it this way but it doesn't work.

<body background="http://www.mysite.com/images/random.jpg">
<div class="blockContent"><em><{$block.texto}></em><br/><br /><strong><{$block.autor}></strong><br /></div>

Any ideas?

No still waiting There's going to be a lot of match making when this module gets out judging by the amount of interest in it

I can help a little bit It's most likely something to do with the url set in XOOPS (I think in the first few lines in mainfile.php) this needs to be edited to eitherhttp://www.yoursite.com orhttp://yoursite.com - it's the www. versus the non www. bit that's causing the problem - choose one and stick with it - If you do a search here you should find more info. Hope this helps a bit.

simplified urls module - exclude individual urls?

I know you can exclude certain modules from being simplified but is there a way to just exclude an individual url not the whole module.
eg: my pbboard module uses a java script pop up for doing a spell check and the javascript won't work with the simplified urls mod - is there any way to exclude it either in the simplified urls module or the httaccess file?

Also has anyone managed to do a normal mod-rewrite of xoops?

Me again,

I've worked out that the images not displaying are in a sub folder of the pbboard template images. If I right click/properties on images that are showing ok the paths are: xoops/modules/pbboard/templates/ca_aphrodite/images/folder.gif

the paths to images not showing are: xoops/templates/ca_aphrodite/images/lang_english/icon_pm.gif

So to make it work I created a new folder in the root directory templates/ca_aphrodite and uploaded the images to that - it works but it doesn't seem like the right way to do it.
Confused

Hello ,
I have a few problems since installing, I running XOOPS 2.0.92:

With the cat ads module - the email link uses a javascript popup window which displays blank.

With the pbboard module the 'show more smilies link' also uses a javascript popup which won't display, and also some images on the pbboard aren't showing - the View user's profile
( /modules/pbboard/templates/ca_aphrodite/images/
lang_english/icon_profile.gif ) and www. icons. Other images are ok.

Are there any fixes?

I think (but I'm not certain) that there might be 2 versions of 1.23 because I installed this module on my site (xoops 2.0.92) some time ago and then a short while ago I noticed it was listed as a new module in the repository here and thinking it was an update I was going to downlaod it but noticed it was still 1.23. Maybe you could checkhttp://www.bbpixel.com and see if you can find anything there. If not let me know and if it helps I can send you a link to download the version I have.

Are you wanting to use the pbboard because you need to transfer a database from an existing standalone phpbb board? If not you may be better off using the XOOPS newbb as I believe the pbboard changes core files and makes updating XOOPS difficult. Hope this helps - good luck
