Well yes in theory that is true.
But when you write php, each function queries a certain database.
For example mysql_connect(x,y,...) connects to a MySQL database server.
Therefore the programmers should write different code for different DBMS .
Moreover, each DBMS has its own syntax (they differ slightly)

Hi everyone,
I have searched the forums but can find my answer.
I plan to upgrade my XOOPS installation from 2.0.13.2 to 2.2.3
I have built a custom theme for 2.0.13, is it possible to use that same theme for 2.2.3 without any changes?
Second, what changes do I have to do to make the admin area look like my theme?
I have looked at the 2.2 theme structure and it is different from the 2.2
Could you give me more info?

I think XOOPS should fit your needs, but you just need to know some html in order to edit the templates if you wish.
I suggest you use a photo gallery module , xcgal, and the official news module.

No, I think he is talking about an internet cafe management software, under M$ windows , try www.handycafe.com , it's free but they display a small advertising banner when a user logs in , but I didn't figure yet how to split the time for internet and games, and create an account for each one separately.
