ams_article.html is the file. should have worked that out really. sorry..:)Just removed each unwanted field individually e.g.

<div class="itemStats" style="text-align: right;"><{$lang_reads}> : <{$story.hits}></div>

removing this removes the reads field...etc..

I am using AMS for my news, and am finding it really useful. The trouble is that I would like to remove the fields that are of no use to users.

namely: (Audience, Article ID and Version)

How and where can I edit these out.

Thanks guys,

mes

With AMS you can can set different user groups to moderate different sections. The trouble is you cant set different groups to moderate different subsections without being able to mod the parent topic aswell?

Is this correct and is there any way to fix this?

cheers

I am setting up groups and topics within AMS. Its working really well.

The trouble is that I want to have subtopics the moderators of those automatically have access to the parent topic.

Is there any way of blocking the posting of topics in the parent topics but not in the sub topics.

Thanks, hope someone can help:)

I have just installed AMS, which is brilliant. The trouble is annonymous users cant read the articles. Just an error message occurs

You are not allowed to read Default level articles

I have checked all the users permissions and annon have exactly the same as my other users. Any ideas of what the prob could be?

Thanks...

Another problem I am having is that if you can set a groups permissions to approve and submit news. How can you set it so a group can view news submissions in their category and approve those? Without having to go into the admin area where they can view all submissions.

I have sorted that out now really need help with somthing along the same lines.

Basically I want registered users to be able to post news, then each moderator can view the submissions to their news sections and choose to add it or not.

any ideas?

Just a couple of questions about the news module,

1. Probably quite easy but can't find it anywhere, how do you make more of the story appear on index rather than just the title of the news topics?

2. Is there any way of simplifying the news input form for users. For example remove things like (Set the date/time of publish, Publish in Home?, Display Topic Image?) So they are automatic rather than being selected?

Thanks for your help guys,,,
