The fixed worked in the XOOPS 2.2 candidates but after that, stopped working. AMS 2.6 should have it working again but financial support is causing delay.

Download XOOPS 2.2.3 and install the news module herko created. You can find the news module by checking out the news repository

I have successfully updated XOOPS fckeditor to the latest fckeditor build (2.2) on our site. I have tested it in CBB and glad to say there are no problems either posting or editing.

After further research on the scripting errors in news and articles I came to the conclusion that the problem may lie with these modules although I'll happily eat my words if I'm wrong.:)

I think Andy knows the cause of the problem with articles and will issue a fix A.S.A.P

As for news, I can only print out the error and hope, herko can see where the problem is.


Can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of type that does not accept focus.

You won't need to edit anything in the XOOPS directory. All configuration should be do in the XOOPS admin interface including adding pages, blocks content. Editing anything in XOOPS could potentially break your site. So stick with XOOPS admin.

It's something I'm working on at the moment along with the javascript errors. I think its to do with the configuration of fckeditor as the problem exists in the xoops-fckeditor 2.2.

I checked out Fckeditors docu wiki. In order to upgrade the editor you need to upload the editor folder overwriting the existing folder. No hacks required. I.E. and Firefox still show script errors in regards to the Default Toolbar. I'll investigate the problem further and if possible, offer a fix.
