Tried installing the module and I got this error:

Fatal error: Class xoopsformtextdateselect: Cannot inherit from undefined class xoopsformcalendar in mysite/class/xoopsform/formtextdateselect.php on line 52

Any pointers?

Thanks for the reference... that looks pretty good!

How you ever found that french language site that had the image challenge I couldn't figure out on my own.

I tried contacting the site owner to see if he could provide french translations, or mabye I'll just babelfish it.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.

EDIT - Sorry, that other thread you reference has some english language instructions... I'll try those. Thanks again.

I was hoping for something like bb2120 was referring to. Just a simple text-image to textbox type challenge.

Even if someone could point me to something that comes close to that, and then I could hack it to work with newbb or something, that would be cool.

basically, as I look through the modules directory, I really don't see anything that comes close.

I'm sure since I'm having this issue, others are as well.

Using NewBB for forum posts. The board I run has legit anonymous posts, but does get a good amount of spam posts.

I keep banning the IP's, but the spam keeps coming.

Is there a hack for newbb for a simple challenge/response to stop spam?

Will there be an upgrade path for 2.2.x sites?

... b/c I have one site that's 2.2.x.

I'm currently setting up a new site for someone else, and was wondering if I should stick with 2.2.x since I'm familiar with what works and what doesn't.

OR should I just go use 2.0.13x?

Stats module that works wth 2.2?

Took a look at the various stats modules, and it looked like some of them had issues with XOOPS 2.2.x

Anyone running a 2.2.x site and has a working stats module going? Would appreciate to know which one you're using.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm running XOOPS 2.2.2 right now.

When I installed WF-Links, PD-Links those gave me various errors when trying to use them. PHP errors, or page rendering errors.

I then noticed that the xoops.org site was using mylinks so I tried looking for it.

Connection OK, but now db can not be found.

Xoops can connect, but during installation wizard i get:
"The following database was not found on the server"

However, the db does exist. I tried deleting and creating it again, but still no luck.

Any tips?

btw, i'm installing the latest version.
