Hi....

My forums are setting to view forums as flat, but I wanted them to view as threaded. I changed the setting for this in Admin/Preferences/General, but they still view as flat. Is there another place where the settings for the newbb module needs to be changed?

I wholeheartedly agree. The XOOPS core is awesome. My only complaint would be that I wish some of the perpiheral modules got more development time before they were released, but that's just the nature of an OS Community, I suppose.

Great job guys!

Actuallly, I got the issue resolved, Madfish, your comment was very helpful. (and I didn't have to go to Nuke)

Well, then maybe I need to look into PHP Nuke or somewhere else for him.

Hello....

I have a site I'm building for a client athttp://thotline.com/modules/news

To the best of my knowledge all article managers have the same basic setup showing articles with oldest at the bottom, and the newest at the top, and the mod "frontpage" showing all the articles combined, regardless of categories. My client has specific content for his home page, however. He also needs to have control over where the articles are posted.

So I'm using news as his home page module, and I put each page of his into News as a topic category. The problem I'm facing now is how to set his home page as the "home" category in News that I've created.

Any suggestions? Maybe there's a better mod out there to use that let's me control where articles are posted?

Kahumbu...

Okay, fixed the problem with the preview blocks (my fault, I had a link in imenu configured wrong.)

But the block doesn't show the links to the individual articles. What else do I need to do here?

Okay, some wierdness now. I modified the topics block template, and entered a couple of test articles. But what it seems to have done is transfered the preview block from the topic page to the Front Page.

You can see it athttp://nationalnewsregister.com

Also, how did you get the admin block options? Was that another script you wrote?

What would I change, if the code is already there?

I'm on a linux server. Maybe I could try changing the code back to ('/', $_SERVER['SCRIPT_NAME'])

Group Permissions were on. Looks like my notification_fuctions.php already had the ('/', $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']); code in it.

Any other suggestions?
