Horoscope

Call me crazy, but I thought there was a horoscope module other than the french one and Horoscope v2. The french one is great, except it's in french and Horoscope v2 has cool icons but only links to a seperate page. If i remember correctly, it had a module link but i remember only using the yellow block that looked suspiciously alot like the geocities horoscope addon they have/had.

Re: anti-proxy

Ha, so I'm not entirely crazy. This was pretty much what I was looking for http://www.ranking.ws/index.php/articles/simple-php-proxy-blocker. Now I'm just wondering about it's incorporation into an XOOPS block or something of that nature.

anti-proxy

I don't know if it would be at all posible, but I was looking through mods and hacks for Vbulletin and I saw a hack that implements an anti-proxy system. Where by disallowing any users that connect through a proxy. I don't remember the details about how it works, but I remember that it wouldn't affect alot of people or something. LOL I don't know. Vbulletin isn't open source, so I don't know about this hack. The link to it is http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=68590&highlight=anti-proxy. I think it'd be a great thing to have to deter abusers.

Virus Flash

I've been trying to get this to work for a few days. Installing and uninstalling the module and trying to look through the files to see if there's any documentation for the module.

It installs alright, but when I turn the block on and try to view the new page, all I get is this message on the screen.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: curl_init() in /var/www/html/modules/sophosFlash/class/sfup.php on line 20

Also, when uninstalling the module it gives me the message that:
ERROR: Could not drop table xoops_sophosFlash.

So, I've gone into phpmyadmin and deleted it manually but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Also note that I've tried to give it full permissions to see if that was the issue. *shrugs* i'm lost

Re: Jabber authentication via Xoops?

if you just use http://webmessenger.blitzaffe.com/ you only need to tie in it's database tables for user registration and such...and configure to add the jabber server

Re: Instant messager module

That's kind of what we were talking about over https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?forum=3&post_id=100049&topic_id=14704 if that helps any

Re: Jabber authentication via Xoops?

does it use the webmessenger link that i provided above? cause it has it's own database tables...to keep track of the users preferences and transport settings...as well as authentication to whatever jabber server it's connecting to (which does it's own stuff)...so you'd only really need to transfer over the messengers tables and such..i think...i was thinking of trying...but i'm not even close to understanding...anything about any of this lol

Re: Jabber authentication via Xoops?

i don't know if this of any help...but i wanted to add a web-based jabber client so that i could access my im services from school without having to download everything every time...and came acrossWebMessenger..not sure about porting it to xoops...but that might work maybe?

Re: It's possible add comments to user profiles???

would it at all be posible to just include an iframe in the extra info section with a shout box...and allow for the users to register with you to get one? i know that the extra info field doesn't allow the tag...but could you edit the template thing to allow it to...or...would that be vulnerability?
