MM is one of the "must-have-can't-live-without-and-wouldn't-if-I-could" modules. Thanks for the update. Is there a menu item weight feature in this version? That's the only thing I have really missed.

Thanks, wishcraft, for sharing this. It would really help, though, if you would publish a step-by-step guide for less sophisticated users as to how to implement it.

For example, I assume that you would first download and install the x-Soap module on the main site. Do you install it on the slave site, too?

Does the plugin go on just the main site, just the slave site, or both?

Does the slave site actually use the main site user table, or are they sync'ed?

...etc

Thanks,

This is great information! There are, however, many usernames and passwords: cPanel username/pw, MySQL username/pw, XOOPS username/pw, etc. I know this should probably be obvious, but it would help if you would clarify as to what goes here:

<originating-hostname> - Is this were my XOOPS site resides? Like mydomain.com/xoops or what?

<originating-username> - ?

<originating-password> - ?

<originating database name> - I take it that this is the name of the d/b that holds the user table that you wish to share.

Thanks,

I have a couple of suggestions:

1. If it's a comic strip that you are referring to, you might consider a vertical, instead of horizontal, format. Just take the original and modify it in a photo editor pgm. I do it this way.

2. If you want to display it w/o left and right columns showing, then you must make sure that no blocks are set to display on that page. You can modify your theme so that the left (and right, if necessary) columns will be hidden if there are no blocks set to display. Instructions here:

Hope that helps.

A lot of "unfortunatelys" with this module:

Unfortunately, this is an old module and will probably not function under PHP 5+.

Unfortunately, although this is a great and needed module, it is no longer under development.

Unfortunately, there is nothing to replace it.

I don't know if it applies to your situation, but I will be doing something similar. I'm going to use clones of the BlankPaper module to hold blocks displaying the categories that I want to display on that pages. There are a couple of problems, though:

1. XOOPS doesn't yet provide cloneable blocks - It will someday, and, in the meantime, it isn't that hard to do it manually. Check the FAQ for instructions.

2. Version 2.13 of SmartSection doesn't allow the selecting of multiple categories to display in a block. This will be corrected in v 2.14, and a beta should be out this week.

One was Google. The other was this outfit:

Whois Record

inetnum: 60.190.240.64 - 60.190.240.95
netname: HANGZHOU-AIDISI-LTD
country: CN
descr: Hangzhou Aidesi Technology Co.,Ltd.
descr:
admin-c: ZY885-AP
tech-c: CH122-AP
status: ASSIGNED NON-PORTABLE
changed: 20060303

Any idea who or what this might be?

I didn't think crawlers could get in if the site was closed.

How do I check the IP address?

My site is turned off to all but admins, yet whenever I go to CBB it says "3 Anonymous Users Browsing". Why is this?

That's really good to know. Now, if I could just get you to give a little hint as to when?
