I managed to get into the web Admin area, deselected all 'available' themes, and edited the default theme to 'default'.

Now I'm white screening :(

Any ideas, anyone?

I've edited the _MD_AM_DTHEME db value back to 'default' which has not resolved the problem

Things were going along just fine, using XOOPS 2.0.6!

Today, all of my block information has disappeared. Block Admin has no block details whatsoever, and no blocks display at all throughout the site. Funnily enough, the main page appears ok, though nothing else.

I have been updating and editing themes, though this problem effects all themes, even ones I've not touched.

All modules still work fine. No blocks appear anywhere but the main page though.

This is kinda urgent, and I'd highly appreciate if anyone at all could give me information on what files I may need to replace, or what may have happened in the first place?

Umm, help!

You may be confused with E-Xoops, which has recently announced similar news.

I have since found suitable documentation at the link above, however I'm also recommending my users towards Zone Alarm.

I se Zone Alarm myself and have no complaint with it.

tjnemez, Neons' issue is exactly my issue, the XOOPS database not being updated when users are using Nortons.

I don't use Norton, I admit that. As I mentioned earlier, I am flying blind. My users are not happy with an answer of 'disable Norton' which is what I am currently advising they do, or use another firewall package.

Most of my members are non technical, and need all the help they can get, which is why I'm asking here.

It may not be a complicated issue for you, but it very much is for non computer users like florists, landscape gardeners, bus drivers and my mother for example.

Xoops needs to be accessible to the masses to reach broad appeal. Keeping it in the 'geeks domain' is not a wise thing to do for success.

Thanks tjnemez, your screenshot is much appreicated, though I am looking more for detailed configuration steps to guide my users through the correct setup.

Is any further information available on configuring Norton Personal Firewall to allow unrestricted access to Xoops?

I don't use Norton therefore am flying blind when attempting to assist my users with correct configuration of their software.

It appears adding my server ip addres to be a trusted site does not solve the problem.
