I tried to do the update again.
However, the problem seems remained ---

1. there're still 2 template files listed for the recent topic block (one with correct code and the other with no code in it at all), and

2. it's still the empty template that's used.

On turning on the PHP debug, there's one error related to newbb.

I recently upgraded my newbb module from 1 to 2.0.2.
Besides of the problem with the editors (this thread), it was originally working fine.
However, after rebooting my system today, without any modification on the system, the recent topic block of the newbb's showing anything in it.
I tried to check the template in admin-template and found that there were 2 newbb_block.html files for recent topics, one with codes showing correct data and the other with no code in it at all.
It seems that it's the empty newbb_block.html that was chosen to be displayed on my system.
and ..
this seemed to happen to the "most viewed" and the "most active" topic templates as well.
( which means there are 6 newbb_block.html files listed totally )

I tried to do the upgrade in admin-module but that didn't help.
I've also tried to empty the template_c directory.
however, that did no help as well.

what should I do ?
will running the upgrade script again help on this ?

just tried some other post tests.
and it seems that the error's not just occurring on replying those copied and pasted content posts.
some other posts had the same problem while being replied to -- the change editor function's not working and IE issued an error message on this code line



the only thing that can be sure now is that the problem's not occuring while creating a new post.
changing editor choice from DHTML to Koivi and from Koivi to DHTML's working smoothly.

what could cause this problem ?
is there any special configuration I should made or is there any important step I might miss ?

I've just upgraded my system from newbb 1 to newbb 2.0.2 and also installed Koivi editor for WYSIWYG functions.

The new module's really great.
However, there're some problems on replying some posts with WYSIWYG editors.

First of all, there's no problem on creating a new post, not at all with either DHTML or Koivi.
However, on replying some posts, which seem to be mostly those ones that contained contents that were copied and pasted directly from other website, the choosing editor function's not working at all.
While the editor choice was set to be DHTML, changing it to Koivi's not working.
It just stuck on DHTML editor.
And vise versa, if it's set to be Koivi (I got only two editor choices set in the preference), you can't changed it to DHTML.

What is this problem ?

I noticed that on these pages, IE got some error messages while trying on changing the editor.
It's like this.

Mine is the traditional chinese language version downloaded from xoops.org.cn, so you might have some strange characters shown in the quoted code.

I've tried search in the forums for similar problem post.
Checked the " enable HTML " setting in the preference as well.
But that doesn't help.

It's ok in creating and replying to some posts but just not those ones with direct copied and pasted web contents.

Anyone having any idea on solving this ?

just found that if tried to add a new partner site, it works.
However, once added, the " edit " function's not working fine.
whatever modified (even none modified), it just responds with " image not found " error.
I now need to create a new link each time I wanna modify some of the settings.

Any help on this one ?

anybody with any idea ?

I set up 3 partner links on my website long ago and they're working alright.

However, on trying to modify one of the website URLs, the system keeps returning error messages saying that my partner link icon image was not found.
I checked again and agina in my server directories and it's definitely there.
I can access directly to that image alright on my browser with direct URL to the file.

What is the problem ?
Can anyone help ?

Hi,

The Blank Page shows while accessing the xfsection module.
But it only happens to the administrator group.
By turning on the pho debug mode, the system shows fatal error as attached.

I recently installed the new News module v1.2, which asked me to replace the groupperm.php under /modules/system/admin/ directory.
is that causing the problem ?

can anyone help ?

Actually, I've tried looking into their forum to see if any similar problem posted.
However, the result isn't that positive.

Nevertheless, I did post mine this time for any chance.

To be honest, this did happed once on my stand-alone version Gallery server but no more after that.

It's really a bit terribly in asking other to upload again and again just to move photos around.
suspecting my friends gonna kill me someday after.
