... and i just discovered:

If i tell the new pix, order not "0" (all others are "0"), but "1", the system adds it where it should: at the end.

but i don't wanna type "1" every time ... :)

Can i fix it otherwise?

Which module?

Ahm, i open the Pic-Manager from the "Write an article"-Text-input-site. So i think, we talk about the news-module, hm?

But these pix are also available over the adminsite in "Picture Manager"

Hello.

My problem is: Normally, when i (webmaster) upload a picture in my personal pic-folder, it is added at the end of the list, as last picture. Since today, i named a picture the same way one was named long before. So, this picture was overwritten with the new one, but another filename. ("S&O") It appeared at the place in the pix-manager, where the first, the original S&O-pic once was placed (4th picture, 1st page). This alone wouldn't be that bad, but from now on, every pic i upload is placed in the pix-manager (the popup-window) after the NEW S&O, and that's bad, because in some days i won't know which page to call to see my newest pic, as it is added anywhere in the middle of my existing pictures ...

I think this is, because the system now thinks, every new piucture HAS to come after the last added picture and this was S&O, which overwrote one of my first pics ...

Hope you understand me - my english isnt that godd, sorry...

Can anybody help me?

TIA,

Ogi

Okay. Thk u so far.

So, all i have to do is:

- Download the patches in right order.

- Extract them.

- Upload THE WHOLE PATCH FOLDER in chronological order to the root directory and OVERWRITE ALL FILES which the FTP clients says he would like to overwrite now.

- After i have done that: There will my blocks (IMPORTANT!), my modules, my theme and the language modifications, right?

Sorry, i'm really not such a pro here ...

At first: my english won't be the best :)

Okay, ive got 2.0.3 running. While sum people say "never change a running system" i would like to update to 2.0.6.

Now, i have made sum changes in different files, for example the system talks personal with each user (in german, there's a difference between "You, my friend" and "You, Mr. Unknown"). Next, i have sum extra modules installed, which i do not want to loose. Same with some Blocks, individual blocks.

As far as i can see here, the only thing i have to do, is start my ftp client, and overwrite all files that come with the specific patches.

Before i do that i want to make sure, that nothing will be lost. So, when i update, will my individual blocks and stuff be there even AFTER updating ?!?

Sorry, but i really don't know ....

Thanks in advance,

Ogi

I'd like to add Image galleries to some of my newsblocks - which is the most easiest and comfortable, if possible with german language?
