You did just upload the module folder itself for each module? It can sometimes be buried several folders deep in the extracted download. E.g.

downloadedfolder/html/modules/themodulefolderitself

The only folder you need to upload is 'themodulefolderitself'. If you upload the whole lot, the module will not be found by module admin.

I lost what I had typed. I added a table, some text and an image from the image manager, then clicked the 'toggle mode' button (at the bottom right of the screen) I assumed this would give me HTML code view?. A new screen appeared with an editing window, but there was no content. Couldn't toggle back again.

Did it in IE 5.5. and again Firefox 1.0. (Win 98)

Yes, I would be interested in knowing if it can replace the default editor in all modules. I took a brief look this morning and it looks really nice. XOOPS image manager is a great feature that I didn't want to lose by changing WYSIWYG editor and with Koivi I don't have to. Has all the good stuff - tables etc., plus ALT text for images (a *BIG* thankyou for that).

Unfortunately, I clicked the 'toggle format' button and lost the lot, so appreciate this isn't quite finished! When is it likely to be released?

Just for reference, like phpBB's 'page' icon, Invision Power Board has a post 'number' in the top right of each post, very much like in this board e.g. #9

If you click on the number, a prompt appears enabling you to copy the link - which leads directly to the post.

I like the look of this board, (this is NewBB?) but I often need to be able to direct users straight to an answer. To do that, I need to be able to quickly see a list of my own posts, (I *love* phpBB's 'View own posts' button) then I must be able to copy/paste a link to the post which has the solution. A link to the thread is no good if the post I need is 4 pages into it.

I think a lot of moderators will miss this feature

AFAIK, HTMLArea is currently the only cross-platform, cross-browser editor. Works in IE and Firefox on PC and in Firefox on Mac OSX. Don't know if it is available for Xoops. Be nice if it was 'cos the built-in editor baffles me!

There is a module that enables the SPAW wysiwyg editor to be used in any modules with a textarea field.

I welcome innovation and improvement, but I would willingly sacrifice any bells and whistles in future versions of XOOPS as long as the developers remain diligent to preventing security threats. Like for example this spyware component recently developed for Mambo. To their credit, it was discovered and removed from their download section by the Mambo team. Link is to Mambo Portal's News page so it won't be there forever.

It's a sad fact that the more popular the system is, the bigger the target it becomes.

Yes. Should I do that? I think it would also be good if there was an option to stop the 'other files by...' displaying a list when the download is posted by 'webmaster'. At first, I thought that was actually someone who had been *really* busy writing modules!

Ah... Thx ackbarr. I seldom look at the 'full details' now because I have found that this is more often than not the same as the summary. Perhaps that is due to the way the 'details' form is presented to people who post downloads? It certainly seems illogical to have to change view to read a review, as you can submit a review and read comments from the first page. IMHO...
