I could not read your Code , but i follow your Direction , and it did work ..with Select the level of strictness for username filtering : set to Strict but i use the third Choice .Light ( Recommended For multi byts Chars . which allow me use foreign Letter not only English letter ..

How to get it to work when i set it to light level of strictness ..

Hello

How do you Sign up new Name with Space between parts , like " johny Sparks" , i could do it with 2.18.2 by commit some codes on register.php file , but i dont know how to do it with XOOPS 2.30

XOOPS - XOOPS 2.3.0
PHP - 5.2.3
MySQL - 5.0.67
Server API - apache2handler

Well in my case The all works well , it just when i disable captcha , no one can add comment because it keep says Invalid code , even know i disabled it !! so i enabled it back .

2- i have tried to replace the register.php before and it works , but if you have chosen to Send email to active the account , it well Send email but does not matter he well be already Active .. other words any new user well ve Auto Activated even if u chose to active the account by sending activations code .. so i have putted back the new register.php file ..and Now i have no problem with it , but i need to know how to allow Name with space to be accepted Such as ' john singy '

3- try Guys do this , if u use Custom Template , try to use the Default one , and my captach didt work with my guest book , then i found out it was the path for my site cause it .. i installed Fresh copy to see the different between the New Mainfile.php and the old one , and it was The Path the old one even the site is working but the path was messing a word , so i copied the path from the new mainfile.php to the old one and it works i get the captha to work ..

XOOPS - XOOPS 2.3.0
PHP - 5.2.3
MySQL - 5.0.67
Server API - apache2handler
OS - Linux

OK , i have found the error , i was using a custom Template , so when i set back to Default Template , it works just fine ..

and what u said about the new registration , sorry for not been clear but the problem is that i can use space to sign up new name , Such as Sand Being ..
ididt open new thread because the support not realy Very Active here , i have posted another thread for couple days and no answer at all :)

Hello

I have Updated from 2.18.2 to 2.30 ,,
every thing looks Ok but i Just can get
the Remember me Box in log in block
i have updated all the Files and Folders ..To make sure its Not a messing File or Chmd .

i installed Fresh Copy of 2.30 and i used the same theme i used for the updated one and Here is it i got the Remember Me box .. so i Edited the file Mainfile.php from the Old One to see if it MYQL Issue . and i was done i refresh and Here is the Remember Me Box . so i'm pretty Sure its MySQL Problem ..

wonder why the updated MySQL doest Show the Remember Me Box but the Fresh One does ..Any Idea!!

Sorry for my dumb question but in which File i have to edit that ?

2- Can you tell me how to edit the file register.php so it allow sing up with Name's does't use English Letters , like Pakistan Characters or Hebrew

Yah .. it easier if it was in the admin panel as well as the Number of trys to inpute the security code
