I supose it would. If you get it to work, would you mind sharing the code?

The ipb theme he is refering to is by PetitOOps - modify by RB, and yes is available at BB Modules Dev.

The show/hide left/right columns is a simple javascript placed in the head tags, with a simple on-click tag in the header. Personally, I thought it was a brilliant idea.

My only complaint is that the column does not stay hiden across page views. In other words, if you click hide, then navigate to another page, the column is there again. You have to keep clicking hide. There may be a way to store your preference in a cookie, but I'm not sure how it would be done.

Ah, Finally......

WF-Sections is a terrific module, that I use regularlly for some clients websites. However, there is some content [mainly content that has heavy use of tables] that does not display correctly in WF-Sections.

A site I'm working on now has over 700 formatted static pages. I'd love to upload them into the /html dir of WF-Sections and be done with it, but due to the heavy html formatting by the original author [which he does not want to loose], doing a find and replace on the head and body tags, and replacing them with the php wrapper is a much more efficient approach vs. spending weeks recreating every page to work with a module.

My hats off to you for a great module, but sometimes, you gotta play with the code.

Ok, very strange. I hit submit and my browser hangs for five minutes and now I've got a multi-post. The site is loading really slow today too.

Been on several XOOPS / other php sites today and this is the only affected one.

Online Version

If you read it, you will find the answer.

There's several ways of doing it, many are listed on that site.

I understood that you were offering to help. I thank you for your offer, and I hope that the powers that be take you up on it.

My "rant" is not aimed at those who do, or offer to do. It is aimed at those who neither contribute, nor offer to contribute, but still want to complain. Which, happens quite often.

Whoa! I know I'm pretty new here, but in the short time I've been active on this site, I've seen the Devs do a LOT!

My philosophy is this...

The XOOPS community can sit around and complain about the work of the few who are contributing...
~OR~
We as a community to pull together and contribute to the cause.

A large portion of the Devs time is ate up answering newb questions and moderating this forum. Many of said Devs have jobs and lives outside of Xoops. So it's taking some time to get things done right. SO WHAT!

I personally would rather see the Devs take their time and get it right, rather than rush to get out the next release to appease the whiners.

If you're contributing to XOOPS in any positive way... I thank you.

If you're a XOOPS user who would like to contribute, but don't know that much about programming... Read the how-tos and documents that are available, and help answer the question of those that come after you. Or just make a cash donation, at least.

If you're just a leacher that sits around and complains about what is not being done... how about pitchin in instead of complaining.
//end rant
