I've figured a tedious workaround.

I took the boox database info from the working installation on my local server and edited an installed module in the xoops_module table of my production site with the boox info.

Then I went to the module administration where I now see the boox as installed but not functioning properly, and I click update and now it is successfully installed and working fine.

Though it works I would like to know how to fix it so it installs properly.

I really would like to use this module. I didn't see an .sql file to fix so how is it installing and what can be fixed to make it work.

Does Boox require PHP 5. It insatlled ok on my local server which runs PHP 5 / MySQL 4.1.

While this edit I did works fine for anonymous, now when I create additional groups I have to manually set their permissions and I want to automate that. Is there a file that I can edit to allow permissions for new blocks and modules added by default?

Theme editor needed

I'd like to see a theme editor added which accesses the folder of the theme in use and open the HTML and CSS files for editing and saving.

Not trying to be creative. I just want to know how to add smart tags to the system and use forms to write to them.

The edit does what I was asking but I didn't explain properly what I wanted.

I want to totally eliminate that redirect page and have the No permission message show on the user.php page for anonymous users trying to access a registered only page.

Editing my top links were a bit tedious to download the theme, edit and upload so I used the smart tag <{$xoops_footer}> and now edit the links from the System admin > footer preferences.

Can the system be hacked to create more smart tags and textarea to write to it? (I tried Boox but it won't install)

How can the BlockType order be re-arranged

I want to re-arrange the BlockType list of the Add New Block editor like this

Center-block center
Side-block left
Side-block right
Center-block left
Center-block right

I did some editing to
include/common.php
modules/admin/blocksadmin/blockform.php

and it did re-arrange the way I want but now the System admin > Groups display does not show center blocks and all blocks display in the right list.

Are there other files that need to be edited to make this change?
