I did manage to space out the image by using this script which I found in this forum.(I did modify it a bit)

Now the only problem I need to solve is that the thumbnail image when created, as you know, is aiming to an url of my uploads/thumbs folder.
This is what I want:
1. On clicking the thumbnail it will lead you to the article.
2. In the article page the image shown is that in the thumbs folder, woand not the one in the uploads folder (the one that is created when submitting the article)
What file and links I need to hack???

I am using css. Infact i have added this:
.itemBody img {margin:10px; float:right;}
that when you click on Read More the following page and image come out spaced a I wanted. But again this block in xmspotlight I cannot seem to do it even though this module has its own little css file.

where do you put that???? As said the image and text comes under the same tag <news.hometext> so I have no clue where to put this in teh template

I need to space out this image from the text
I am using News v 1.44 and the latest version of xmspotlight. The tag that needs to be check is <news.hometext>

At this moment xmspotlight has only 1 plugin that is for the news module. I am sure that there is a way to add more plugins i.e smrtsection for instance.......how can this be done please?

I got it now! Its very close to what I want but not quite.
Let me explain. We run a sports magazine online (www.maltasport.com) where you can see smartsection module at work.
Now I want to use the News module on a similar thumbnail a bit bigger but using News because this module gives you the Category,etc. and is more friendlier on the database queries. All I need is to make the image smaller because if I use it as it is it is going to show the same sixe photo of the featured article. I think I need to hack both the php and template files.

Script_fu your link directed me to your themes home page, I do not want a theme but to have the News modules hacked to show a thumb image in the Blocks like top stories, latest news etc.Perhaps you could direct me to the right link???? Nice themes by the way
