Jlm69 thanks - that did it.

Now all I need to do is figure out how to place it below the Welcome message (which is from WF-Channel)

You can edit the block template and include a padding or margin value to move it in any direction.

My best advise is state which country or language background you are from (eg are you chinese, japanese ???)

There are XOOPS site using that language and their XOOPS instruction pages and forums are probably more meaningful to you.

Secondly, if you have a webserver, start small by making some simple HTML pages and learn HTML first. It will really help you understand web design.

Thirdly, install XOOPS on a webserver. If it has PHP and mySQL the installation is usually very easy. I can probably say that XOOPS installation is the easiest of all the CMS I have come across.

The codes for displaying the banners are

Quote:

<div style="text-align: center; padding-top: 0px;"><{$xoops_banner}></div>

I don't want the banner on my top page. If I want to display the banner in the Center-block:Center how do I do it?

I tried making a HTML and PHP block with the above codes but the banner doesn't show up.

Any suggestions?

Heyyy you know what? That's exactly what I am looking for too.

I'm after a module where someone can post a Job Vacancy as well as a Employment Wanted section.

Well I've deleted my Agenda-X module

I had a quick look around and tried piCal 0.6

It installed without any incident and with the latest addition of Categories it is a perfect calendar for me. (Thanks GIJOE)

An easy way for you to do this is in Block.

Add a new block type Auto Format (or HTML if you prefer).

Type in the announcement for the anonymous users.

Then make it visible to center block, save it, go to Groups Security and enable that for Anonymous Users only, exclude Registered users.

I'm not sure this is what you want tho.

The software cost nothing. Hosting it on a commercial server will probably cost you something unless you have your own web server.
