lol: it's stupid but funny

I was messing around with the blocks, and I turned off the login block too. Now the problems is I can't even log on as administrator anymore and when I try the adresshttp://localhost/admin.php it says I don't have enough rights to access that page. So I locked myself out lol. Does anyone know how I can get back in?

multimenu staying when clicking on the menu link

I've looked through the forum topics, the FAQ and used the search option. I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
I have my multimenu, and my links in it. When I click on a link I want the link to open but leaving my menu there, and the page the link goes to appear. For example the XOOPS menu on the left here. When you click on support forums it goes to the support forums, but the user menu, community, who's online, etc stay. Whenever I click on one of my links for example a test link going to google, the whole page just turns into google. I hope I provided enough information for someone to help me out. In the mean time I'm gonna try and see if I can find something that works. Hope to get some replies. thx! :)

Re: How to set port other than default 80 port

you should change your httpd.conf to what it was. then you should g2 services and check if IIS server is running. If it is running, shut it down cuz IIS server and Apache don't run together. If you don't have IIS server running, then you have something else running on port 80. then you can see what's running on port 80 by going to the command line and entering netstat.

check this link out:

http://www.faqs.org/docs/linux_network/x-087-2-iface.netstat.html

hope this might help you some. good luck

Re: Could not connect to the database server?

thx alot for your help:) I do wanna learn in the ins and outs of XOOPS but I have a limited amount of time. I'm working for some company for school/college and as my assignment I have to learn something totally new for me for this company. Which was learning how to work with xoops. I have 5 months to get their website up and running so that's why I actually didnt' feel like finding out how to create a database myself. but After just having taken a look through how myPHP admin is used. I've decided to take sometime and try to learn how to create databases. it'll save me sometime in the future too. if you have any other usefull advice for me, all of it is welcome. thanks for all the replies in my forum topic!:)

Re: Could not connect to the database server?

thx. I looked through those sites/links, but didn't find any information that could help. The only information I found in XOOPS FAQ was about for if having to create your own database. What name you should give it, and that you should ask you administrator to create a database for you. So I'm still stuck, but thanks for your help anyways! :)

" Oh...and if you go here and scroll down to the section entitled database installation that may also help. "

and the link to some page about creating databases just directs me back to this forum topic.

could you maybe post the link again. thx:)

Re: Could not connect to the database server?

How do I create a new database?I thought XOOPS automatically created its own database while installing xoops. That's what I had last time I installed xoops, but now it won't. Could someone then maybe explain to me how I have to create my own database, what needs to be in it and whatever else is needed in a database? thx:)

Could not connect to the database server?

I have installed Apache, PHP, and MySQL. Everytime I run the XOOPS installation I get an error at the "check database" screen.

"Could not connect to the database server.

Please check the database server and its configuration"

Why won't it connect to the database server?and if I haven't created a database yet, wouldn't it normally ask me if I want it to create a new database for me, cuz that's what it asked last time I installed xoops. I hope to get some replies, thanks already!
