xoops site for English speaking sailors in Japan

Sail Japan

If you live in Japan and want to sail, or are coming to Japan in your own yacht, until recently it was next to impossible to find any information on the subject in English. Sail Japan is run by an English sailor now based in Osaka, and the community that the site supports keeps it growing. The site now attracts about 2000 unique visitors a month, and the average viewing time is 570seconds or 9.5 minutes. We're very pleased with that number.

Couldn't have done it without XOOPS and the community here. Thanks!

We would appreciate any comments/advice.

Re: XOOPS Newsletter Mailer

Greetings all.
I'm keen to see this module made available. Has there been any progress?
I'm willing to contribute towards the cost. PM with details.

category page fails to appear...

*excuse my use of terminology, I'm a mere mortal and fairly new to xoops*

I don't know if the Japanese map hack I mentioned above has anything to do with this, but now, when I click on my link for MxDirectory in the main menu, all I get is this:

Quote:
,
Phone:
Rating: ()

More Info | Rate this Business | Modify this Listing | Tell a Friend | Comments ()

If I look at the source of that page, it seems like the necessary code after

!-- (Category ) --

is missing...

If I navigate directly to a category, it will appear, but .../modules/mxdirectory/index.php just refuses to display properly.
Here's the message that PHP Debug produces

Quote:
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: id in file kernel/object.php line 279
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: id in file kernel/object.php line 280
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: id in file kernel/object.php line 370

Any ideas?

Japanese map link (from romanized address)

Great Mod. Many thanks.
If you want to generate a Map for a location in Japan -using yahoo.co.jp- I've bodged a few lines of code that will take the post code and get you to within one click of a map on Yahoo. If your addresses are in Japanese fonts, you could do better.
As with Vimana's UK and Italian map link hacks above, type in the following to both xdir_link.html and xdir_listingfull.html :

<{if $link.zip != ""}>
<td>
<form name=mapForm2 action="http://search.map.yahoo.co.jp/search?" target="_new" method=get>
<input type="hidden" name="p" value="<{$link.zip}>">
<input type=submit value="Map">
</form>
</td>
<{/if}>
