Insert this somewhere in the code. I would put it near to the top of /include/common.php as possible but right under set_magic_quotes_runtime(0);

ini_set("allow_url_fopen"0);

or create a .htaccess file in the main folder of XOOPS and add:

php_value allow_url_fopen 0

As some one who is actually Scottish (Considered British to many of you), I do not consider US English and UK English the same thing. That is why we have two different dictionaries and no, they are not the same to me.

So if I can say that US and UK English are not the same and I do get annoyed that I am forced into using the US spellings on websites and with Xoops. I can say, I understand why others feel the same with their languages.

I am not sure about others, but the case of US and UK English, this could be easily sorted with changing the structure and the way XOOPS deals with languages. For example, we could use en-US and en-GB. That way, we Brits don't have to put up with the silly US spelling of color etc.

So how could this be fixed in your own language and the way XOOPS deals with your language? Is there a browser compliant way of dealing with it?

Nice to see you here again Mikhail :)

I think that this might be doable if I work with Wishcraft on this, I remember he has a module that already does this.

Hiya Theme Developers!

With module development starting to go in the right direction, least we are now off the Bottom rung of the ladder and hopefully we will start climbing that long way to the top. I know that the modules we have started with are old versions, but the move to blue will help developers to understand the current core much better and hopefully this will help them create better modules for everyone, they how ever need theme developers help to create better looking interfaces than these older modules have.

So how can you help? We need you to be creative and explore new ways of presenting these older modules, there is no point in us developers giving the code the make over and still hashing out the same old looking module right? So while we are doing our bit to help improve the over all quality of modules, can we expect the same for you theme, template developers? So far we have one up on you and the ball is in your court, so? You game?

If you are, lets see what you go to offer!

Hiya Peeps,

I have decided to update an old module of mines that used to be a few peoples favourite.

I am going to make this module plugable, so this way other developers can easily make their own and store it with thier own modules so we don't have to upload anything. plugin and play! yay!

I would like to hear your thoughts, suggestions on this?
