Did you delete or rename/move the install folder?

After the install, you need to go get rid of the install folder, and the error says that it cannot access the XOOPS installer (leading me to believe that the installer is still there)

Hope this helps!

to each his own I guess, but it is purely a blank page that can have any block placed anywhere on it, following his desired uri path, and there is no patch needed etc.

just trying to offer all possible solutions

Do the members actually register themselves, or are you advised as to when new members will be coming or need to be added?

You could ask the administration staff to send you their info and picture, and use This method to add their avatar to the existing avatar list, and create the accounts for them...then the email that is sent from XOOPS to notify them of account activation would go out, and they'd be all set-up and wouldn't have to deal with it at all.

Thats sort of my job at SBC...I get lists from the HR dept. and have to create user profiles for different domains, hosted apps, and networked directories based on the information submitted by their dept head.

...sorry...I have a touch of cabin fever at the moment, so it keeps spinning around un my head!

sounds like something didn't go right in the upgrade....which should have modified the existing table entries to look like the new table entries for users and groups.

You can go to phpMyAdmin and export one of the entries for one of the 'new users', and export the webmaster entry, and add the new table fields that are not present to it...and re-insert it into the database. Of course you would need to do this with all of the users that are missing the additional database fields as well.

Good Luck & Happy Xoopsing!

don't know if that can be done...I assume that the host count will always be higher than the istats count as the host count has been counting since your account was created, and istats has only been counting since it was installed.

Un doubtedly there is a table entry for current visits or hits...you can alwys edit that field in MySQL and add the extra amount that the hosts stats show.

it may have to do with the fact that in order for the XOOPS code to be interpreted correctly, the includes from the header file need to be there.

Look at a regular theme and the php files included with the modules you intend to incorporate into flash to see which files will need to be included (defined) for the XOOPS codes to work.

I haven't tried using the codes in flash yet, but that would be where I would start!

Let us know how it goes!

Welcome!

Yes, you can design your own 'themes' for xoops, and you can customize the layout. Spend some time looking at the default theme and some of the others that are available to see how the 'xoops code' is used to place content in your design.

The layout can be completely up to you, as long as you keep track of which block code you use in the design, and where.

the default set-up is a 4 column set-up, so, when you look at the htmls, you will see how the various colums are defined ie: left column, center left column, center center column (a span of center left and center right), center right column and right column. All of the blocks and modules allow you to place their content in these stated areas, so feel free to move them around in your theme...just pay attention to where you moved them so that you will know which 'column' to place the various blocks in.

Check out the FAQ section....carnuke has put together tons of information (along with input from many xoopsers) on how to create a theme and whats involved.

There is also a Dreamweaver extension set called MyXoopsExtensions that will cut down on some of the 'hand coding' time spent inserting the various XOOPS codes in the html.

Happy Xoopsing!
