"Site Info" Block; can show custom group?

Is there an intuitive way that I'm overlooking to have the "Site Info" block show the members of a custom group? It appears to me that the block is configured to just show the default Admin group or no groups at all (there's a choice).

I realize that I can edit the code itself to grab my custom group but if there's a "standard" way of doing this, I'd much appreciate knowing it. I'd rather not change any of the original XOOPS files.

Now I will see if I can make the HOME module highlight as well.

Were you ever able to do this?

I had the same problem. After reviewing your post here, I vaguely recalled an instruction about updating each of the modules from the administration screen after performing the XOOPS update.

I tried that, as opposed to deactivating the module in question (the Headlines module), and everything worked out peachy.

I'm glad you got it working as well.

And if you attempt to make the modifications and somehow your site doesn't seem to work with them... Don't complain. That's the chance you take when you run a RC version of an app.

The answer is in XOOPS itself which contains the code to make cookies work correctly. It was commented out in one of the updates because of a potential security risk.

Can someone tell me what exactly the security risk is? Is it merely that someone could walk by your computer and log on as you due to the auto login?

For the lurking members here, could you detail how you changed your iframe tag?

You know... It's quite possible that I missed the menu the other day when I was looking for the link to register.

I say that because today at work, I used Firebird (which is what I used at home to visit the site) to check out VarLinux again and I was able to see the menu with no problem.

<- I need to clear my eyes, I guess.

Indeed, Chainsaw... After seeing your message, I fired up my dusty copy of IE and revisited the site. Sure enough, there was the menu atop the page. My primary browser is the Mozilla derivative, Firebird. Apparently the site is a bit IE-biased.

Check out how it works on my site at VarLinux

Do you realize that you have no link on your main page (or any other page I visited) to actually register on your site? I had to use my uncanny ability to manually type http://www.varlinux.org/vl/html/register.php to become registered.

Further, I have yet to see a menu on your site. Not while anonymous. Not while registered.

I feel cheated and even a little dirty.

Just visited your site and liked your menu. I'm using the Tigra menu on my forthcoming site as well. I very much like it.

Question: Did you hardcode the menu options or do they come up based on permissions?

Brad
