Don't shoot the messenger dude. I didn't write the wiki page and initially the code didn't work for me either. But making it work was really child's play

The XOOPS wiki has an entry on inserting static HTML pages in xoops:http://wiki.xoops.org/wakka.php?wakka=XoopsStaticContent

There are also three or four modules that do the same thing as tiny content (eg. cjay content and others of which I forgot the name). I have tried them but ended up with the plain old trick above.

PS: Tiny content is not buggy AFAIK. Please test a little more.

Hi GIJOE!

I'm the guy who requested the implementation of categories in PiCal a while ago on your site:
http://www.peak.ne.jp/xoops/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=17&forum=1

If I knew that you wanted some more info about this feature I'd certainly have given you it

Here it goes: I use your fab module in a site I'm preparing for a city council. PiCal will be a kind of event calendar where we post cultural events, concerts, theatre, recitals... I'd like the categories feature to distinguish between events and to give the user the possibility to search through a certain category he likes.

Also lots of employees of the city council will be entering data in PiCal. By using categories the look of the calendar will stay homogeneous, because employees have to select an event category and can not invent their own classification for events.

Hope you can make something nice!

Greets,

Jay Jay

Hi chapi,

I owe you a big thank you! The adminmenu.php file is generated server side so that's why I couldn't find a way to change the sort order of the modules menu in admin.

Anyway, you put me on the right track and after some tweaking I was able to change the order to my preferences. I think this feature should be available in the admin section, because I believe a lot of xoopsers can benefit from it. Maybe for a next release?

Thanks for the tip, chapi!

It seems noone knows the answer to this, so I'll just leave it as it is. Maybe it's something that can be considered in one of the next releases?

Thanks to everyone who replied!

PS: XOOPS rocks

Yes I read that too and it solved part of the problem. After "reloading" the webmasters group in system admin, the system admin button was on top again. I'm still left with the double buttons though and I still like to choose the order of the buttons.

Thanks for the reply!

Hi people!

I'm still struggling with this problem. Anyone got experience with sorting the modules buttons in the control panel? I tried just about anything I could come up with, but then again I'm not a php guru

To be clear: I'm *not* talking about the sort order of modules in the navigation block on the frontpage.

Hi all!

I'd like to change the sort order of the modules menu in the administration section of xoops. I want the system admin button on top and sort the other module buttons in descending order of importance. Somehow while installing a module, the order got messed up. Some module buttons even get displayed twice!

I looked at cp_functions.php (/include/)and at admin.php (/modules/system/) and also at the js-script that generates the popups in the menu, but I still haven't got a clue. Hope someone can help?

Greetz
