I'm also watching this thread with interest as I've been looking for a good multi-user blog for XOOPS for a long time now. Have tested a few and never been satisfied.

Where will you be releasing your module when it's done - in the module repository here at xoops.org?

Looking forward to trying it out,

I'm also having the same problem. I have /modules/system/admin.php active and running, but it only gives the option to email users...

Thanks for any pointers,

Name Display for Inactive Users

I want to change the display of "Unsubscribed" or "Deleted" in newbb when a user's account is set to "Inactive". I'd rather keep their username where it is (upper left of their posts) but just have it not link to their profile.

This should be do-able by writing a simple check to see what the status of their account is (Activated or Inactive), but I don't know what files/code to change.

Can someone give me some pointers about where to start looking?

Thanks

In this case though, other users don't know that the user has stopped using the forum, and may continue to send PMs, etc. which are never responded to. Is there any way to notify people trying to PM a person that their account is inactive or no longer in use?

How do you handle Unsubscriptions and Account Deletions?

Hi All,

I have a question about how you guys handle user unsubscriptions and deletions.

When a user deletes their account or has their account deleted, their username in forum posts is changed to 'Unsubscribed', 'Deleted' or something like this. Over time when a number of people do this, it makes it very confusing for people who come along later to follow a thread conversation in a forum. They might see a conversation going on between 3 or 4 people, of whom 2 have unsubscribed and therefore have the username 'Unsubscribed.' It becomes very hard to tell who has said what.

Is there a method where you can preserve posts with the original usernames for the sake of thread readability even if users unsubscribe or have their accounts deleted? Has anyone developed a way of doing this?

Thanks for any advice,

What's the latest on the blog / multi-user blog issue?

I have one site running XOOPS 2.2 and want multi-blog functionality for that. I have a second site running XOOPS 2.0.* and want a single-blog on that one which will be easy to import posts/data into from an existing standalone WordPress blog.

Any ideas on what my current best options are for these situations?

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm having a situation where a user has just made a post which appears to have been posted by my user (admin). Are there known bugs which enable people to do this? For now I've banned the IP address, and will change my password as well, but I wonder if there's something I can do to keep this from happening again. (Its happened once before as well, but subsided after I banned the IP.)

Thanks,

I'm having the same problem - no refresh for log in/out pages in 2.2.3. It does not work in either Firefox or IE. I turned on PHPDebug and got no errors.

Has anyone else dealt with this recently?

Any advice appreciated,

I'm having the same problem. Is this a known issue with 2.2.3?
It stopped working after I upgraded from 2.0.13.2.

Any help appreciated,

Some Auto Reload Issues in 2.2.3

I finally got my upgrade to 2.2.3 working, but there are some cases where the pages don't automatically reload. For example, after logging in users get the "If the page does not automatically reload, please click here" message, and the page doesn't reload. This happens in many other instances as well, but not all (with some pages it works).

Is this a known issue? Documented anywhere?
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
