I tried to confront them and this is what they mailed me

"You should not believe everything that you read.

Some idiot from XOOPS started the post and now there are people that are believing it.

So, try this:

try to install any module or theme from XOOPS (any version) or better yet just install XOOPS and see if it will do what our software will do."

I mailed customer care of phpmyspace. Following is the qoute from the mail I sent.


"Hi,

Just wanted to know if I can use XOOPS modules with phpmygold.

Regards,"

To which I got the reply:


"No. None of the modules or themes will work (not from any version) as this is not xoops."

I have sent them yet another mail, will inform you guys abt that aswell.

Do leme know if you need these email to be forwarded to you.

Hi,

Can some one tell me what is meant by '->'. I believe $xoopsDB is the name of the function and is prolly passing some arguments. If someone can tell me where can I find this funcation, and also is there any alternative way of gathering information from MySQL without using xoopsDB. I was an early post @https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=52637&forum=28&post_id=232354#forumpost232354. Where Herko mentioned the use of quaryF(...).

Can sombody tell me where is showThread() located ? This function is called in xtermuserguestbook\index.php. Here is the format for calling this function.

showThread($color_num, $subject_image, $title, $message, $post_date, $ip_image, $reply_image, $edit_image, $delete_image, $sqlfetch["uname"],"", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", $email_image, $www_image, $icq_image, $aim_image, $yim_image, $msnm_image);

There is no setting for module through admin control. All I get when I click on the module name is
"This should be set invisible.
- How?
System Admin - Modules. Set order to '0'.
- Why?
This module only exists out of a block and a popup.
"

The order is already set to 'O'. Nor is there any settings for module in the blocks section or any shoutbox/admin folder.

However if I open any of the template files, I could see if statements like 'if $config.popup_autofocus==1' or 'if $block.shoutbox_access != "no"'. But I am unable to find its config file to edit it manually.

By default I can see the 'time' and 'ip address' when I hover about, but the date is missing.

Could you guide me where the setting\config file is located ?

Hi,

Is there a way to show date on which a shout was posted in shoutbox 3.2. I was using Shoutbox 1.x before, it didnt have any option, so I upgraded to 3.2. Yet I cant see the option. Can some one please guide me how to enable\add posted date.

Any progress ? I bought this script and when I googled for editing and stuff, I came to know abt xoops.

They are also selling modules athttp://www.phpmyspacegold.com/, its like 50 bucks for 3 months subscription.
