I've to add that the date format is not chamging to me form english n:g to italian g:n, that is the month remain alway before the day as in english language and don't change accordingly to the language/langfolder/global.php instructions.

ehi it worked!
I made a clean install of news and it worked...!
as you may see all is perfectly multilang now ;)
the only bug is that when I make a block for recent news in the home I can't set to show some text of the news in the block, cause changing the language it mess up the template...
I looking at the code in news_top.html but no idea ...

well cleaning chaces didn't work, is a fresh install and I don't have any addition...
may be upgrading news something went wrong I'll try to reinstall all.
I would like to receive a feedback on xlanguage on 2.0.16, even if the problem seems to affect news module....
exactly in the function $story.title which call category name and news title in the template.
I guess somethnign goes wrong in sanitizing html, because the italian text is outputted in the source of the page

thanx

hi stefan,
if you click on italian flag, you'll see the italian content, but the title is wrong, because it shows the autor next to news category instead of showing the title, which is "testami" and is showed as pop up title of the link "inviato da", so something is messing up somewhere. And I've had similar bug with new 1.44. Ah forgetting I work on 2.0.16. Fresh install, no hacks, php 5.

I'll try some debug, but only news module semme affected

Hi there,
with xlanguage 3.01 and news 1.50 (and 1.44 also) I've the problem that I can't see the news title good for each language ad in the end if I have multil lang news content and multilang news title, I can see the first but the second is not working.

At this link
http://xoopsworks.isgreat.org/modules/news/index.php?storytopic=4&lang=english
you can see the tag [en that shouldn't be there and changing to italian lang the result is even worst...
when the news have only a language in the content with no langtags, the title of the news shows well in both languages..

hope there's some trick for this..

I've read some troubleshooting on xlang
herehttps://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=52483&
but didn' t solve
the hack in the second post couldn't be applied because the file is different

yes I search the admin link next to CBB logo, but when logged as moderator nothing is showed...

I don't have account on that forum (and I don't want open account number 34566676 on a site... ) if you have one it would be kind of you to notice about this issue

thanks

Ok solved...
It was a translation bug
simply the variable wasn't well readed...

but isn't the XOOPS system expected to inform me about wrong corrispondeces or missing variables??
With other versions I had warnings or simply original language instead of translation

a second issue.. I can't see this admin link when logged as moderator

I've installed the latest CBB module on some sites (local and web) but in XOOPS 2.2.4 I can't see the admin link in the index page of the forum (for suspension and other tools..)
All the rest working ok, and I deleted the framework/xoops2.2 folder....

any trick??

thanks
