Ted, don't give up. You are doing a great job and people will appreciate your hard/kind work.

A couple of things you may want to consider:

1) lost-doggies.co.uk - I think you still own the domain. Why not put in a re-direct to the new site?

2) You might want to consider narrowing your focus. For someone in North America, I would probably not post on your site if I had lost my dog. Maybe focusing on UK first, then expand?

Keep up the good work and may every lost dog find his/her home or a new warm and caring home.

Are you sure that you are using the file came with package? The userinfo.php file came from the package will allow viewing user profiles.

Try upload a fresh version of userinfo.php file to your server.

Sorry, my apologizes if this has been mentioned before (can't search the forums). It seems the search function is not functioning at all with the new version of newbb.
In addition, users' posts are not listed under users' profiles.

Sorry, can't help on that, maybe someone else can help.

I am not sure though if that would be helpful. I always thought user look up was meant for the admin not for the users.

luckylin - Thanks. I have updated file, but made the DNS lookup non-clickable, as majority of the users will not be running a server on their IPs.

Anyone interested can download the updated version.

To make it complete, I also added LACNIC lookup. Anyone who is interested in luckylin's hack can download the hacked version of misc.php from xoops-tips.

What is the crawler's user agent?

Is it something like the following?
"Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html)"

The usual Google user agent is
"Googlebot/2.1 (+http://www.google.com/bot.html)"

I suspect the first one is a faked Google crawler - I have been hit continuously for a couple of days now.
