The attributes show " -rw-r-r-- " which looks right to me??

I could be wrong on this one but I believe that "-rw-r-r--" is 0644. 0444 should give you "-r--r--r--"

Cheers.

I'd say just be patient and wait for it, or heck, start it yourself.

Check out xStreamer which was designed to do the same thing. I am currently working on adding permissions and a mechanism where video can be uploaded and converted.

Cheees.

As a newcomer into XOOPS I dont expect overdriven kindness but a standard comment like msdana, dosn't give me a feeling of beeing welcomen...

Way to go buddy. Your third post and you are already antagonising one of our valued helpers and contributors to Xoops. Please note that Msdana and many others here help in their spare time.

We'd love to give every new user a full tutorial and how to do everything but when the question is asked dozens of times a day it becomes abit difficult The best advice was as she pointed, to look at the FAQ section where probably most of your questions have been asked and hopefully answered.

Failing that, these forums are a treasure trove of information that is very accessible using the help feature on the top right of the screen. If that is not getting you any results then you can use Google to search this site by specifying "site:xoops.org" when searching for keywords in Xoops.

Like msdana said, welcome to XOOPS and please remember that we are all contributors here.

Cheers.

Hey kaotik.

Have you tried the new xajax 0.5?

I was _very_ tempted to try it but was rushed at the time of doing xstreamer so had to give it a miss for a few weeks. I do love xAJAX so will definetly look into it in a few weeks.

Please use the search facility on this site. This question has been asked and answered dozens of times during the last month.

When you bring your site up in your browser do you typehttp://www.theeclub.com orhttp://theeclub.com

If you bring your site up using the URLhttp://theeclub.com then the login will not "stick". You will need typehttp://www.theeclub.com into the address bar then login.

If this doesn't work then I'm stumped. The only other course of action would be to check the validity of your XOOPS installation by running the MD5 installation checker. I haven't got the instructions for that at hand but I am sure you quickly find it using the search.

Good luck.

// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
    // Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
    // Example: define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://localhost/xoops');

define('XOOPS_URL''http://www.mysite.com');

Could be a case of your mainfile.php has a XOOPS_URL of www.mydomain.com but you have mydomain.com in your browser.

Check that the URL to your site on your browser is the same as it is in mainfile.php as www.mydomain.com and mydomain.com is not the same address as far as cookies are concerned.

You're not using the dreaded IE7 browser are you? You do know that IE7 is one of the signs of the Apocalypse? .

Are you running any firewall software on your machine (ZoneAlarm... etc) ? If so then you might need to add your XOOPS site to your firewall's trusted sites list.
