Blocks do not display when assaigned to display at the bottom

I've made a custom block that doesn't show up on the bottom. It will display when it set to anywhere else, left, right and top sides, but it doesn't display on the bottom. This goes for blocks off all types, even system blocks. Any idea what could be causing this? Could it have something to do with themes?

"Database Error" on creating a new forum catagory

When I try to create a new category for my forums on my website the next page tells me "Database Error" and redirects me back.

This doesn't happen when I create a new forum within an existing category. I'm running XOOPS 2.3.2.

I know this isn't much information to go on, but that is all XOOPS is telling me.

I am talking about the title of each individual article, not the title bar of the browser, I'd also like to remove title of the most recent news article from displaying as well.

Basicaly, if I have a topic named "Topic" and an article under that topic named "Article" it displays it as "topic article"

I'd like just to display the article title.

Ghia- I tried both of your suggestions, but it still hasn't changed.

And I'm still unsure about editing the actual PHP of my site, in case it breaks other things.

I tried looking for it, and I thought I removed it, but keeps displaying the topic title in the titlebar. The code for this I thought was in templates/news_item.html in the header section,
<td class="itemHead">&nbsp;&nbsp;<span class="itemTitle"><{$story.news_title}></span><a href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/news/index.php?storytopic=<{$story.topicid}>">            </a></td></tr>

Thats the line I thought was responsible, and I removed references to topic, but it isn't going away. Any one know where else I might check?

The default news module displays news like "category : Article title"

How do I change it to just displays the article title?

I'm using CBB 3.08 as my forum module. How do I get it to display the date in the format that I want? M/D/Y. I have my global.php file set up with the date format I prefer, but CBB doesn't seem to use it.

I just updated my website to 2.3.2 and now User Registration is disabled. The message it gives me is "Registration is not allowed at this moment, please come back later."

I have "Allow New Registration" checked in my User Info panel of system. I'm not sure what else could be causing this problem.

Thank you very much Anderssk!

I updated my website to the newest version and it's been very smooth sailing from there. It fixed my issue with the page nav template, and as another benefit it fixed an error I had been having with my forums.

Thank you again for your help

Edit: I've also donated to XOOPS as a result of the excellent help I've received.

Also, I really like the way the donation block on the website works. How can I add this to my website so I can give special recognition to my members?

Thank you for the swift reply. I've been trying to get rid of the page counter at the top as per your instruction. I followed your directions, creating a themes/MM/modules/news directory, and copying the "news_index.html" file into it. I then removed the line you specified. Nothing changed on my website.

After that failed I removed the line from the news module its self, but that did not work either. Is there something here I am missing? I feel like I'm getting close. I even created a /themes/MM/modules/news/templates folder with news_index inside, just in case, but that didn't work as well.
