Re: Using notifications system on my module

You might be able to use some of Culex's ideas.
He was working on this a couple of years ago: http://culex.dk/

Re: NewBB 4.33 RC-11 available for testing (XOOPS 2.5.8, PHP 7)

Thanks Mamba!
I've been distracted. Just now catching up. I'll do the 2.5.8 upgrade and then the NewBB upgrade tomorrow and see how it goes..

There's no traffic in my forum so it won't hurt to do testing.

Also, does anyone know how I can change the menu navigation bar (Home News ...)?
That is for example, if I want to add a link for another page like "Job Listings" or "Classifieds," where is the php file to make that change to the menu? Or is that allowed by XOOPS?

Look through the files in the /tpl directory of whatever theme you're using.

Re: Publisher 1.02 Final and pdf

I'm getting this error message when opening "Create Article" from the publisher admin.

"ERROR: cannot access file directory. Please CHMOD the uploads/publisher/content directory with value 755 (or 777 depending on your environment)
"

It displays under the editing window but isn't correct the dir is set to 755, and the content saves correctly.

Re: What is the best method to handle patching

FileZilla has a "Mirror" function that would work too.
It makes sure local directories are updated to match remote directories .

Re: Xoops.org re-designed

Sounds good.
It wouldn't be a bad thing to clean up the modules repository, and add currently "working" modules/module packs.

It would eliminate the waste of time that happens when people install the latest XOOPS version and try to get any of those outdated modules to work with it.
If they are outdated, orphaned, non-functional they should be on GIT so people can work on them.
Only stable/current modules out of alpha/beta should be offered here.

imho..
