Thanks, Mamba!

I've added the tag to theme.html and it works now.

Thank you very much!

Did you follow the installation notes, i.e. copied the Smarty plugins to the correct directory, and added the Smarty tag to your "theme.html" file?

I think YES (I've copied the file). On the "pluging" (wrong spelling?) page :

Management pluging

State of the plugin
pluging installed

Note: Remember to copy the code " " in the file of your theme theme.html underway to account for visits ...

For the second part "added the Smarty tag to your "theme.html" file", what should be done in details actually?

The only readme file inside the module zip is "readme_fr.txt" that is in French only. Could it include a "English" readme file as well?

Well, it just says "might not", i.e. it could work just fine without any problems.

The best way would be if the users would install and test it, and if it does work OK, just post a note: "I tested it with XOOPS 2.5.5, and works perfectly"

You're right! It's not working actually in XOOPS 2.5.5 No statistical data is captured and all are "zero" indeed.

Anyway, thank you very much!!

We don't have currently a user-friendly "multi-site" capability to accomplish it. Wishcraft developed Multisite, but you need to have advanced skills to work with it, in case you run into difficulties, as it is complex and not for an average user.

Thanks, Mamba!

Fox XOOPS 2.5.5, there are not many changes to the files. The only two files needed to be changed are: mainfile.php and xoopsformloader.php, as mentioned in the description of Multisite 1.40:

https://xoops.org/modules/mediawiki/index.php/Multisite_1.40

Is there any files to be changed or other works to be done since you said "you need to have advanced skills to work with it, in case you run into difficulties, as it is complex and not for an average user" (quite scaring indeed ) ?

Thanks, Mamba!

However, as many modules now in XOOPS Module Repository, it says:

Platform: XOOPS 2.4.x (might not work on latest XOOPS Version)
Submitter: Lord_Venom
Publisher: T.D.M
Released: 2010/02/02
Version: 1.06

Would it be possible to remove the words: "(might not work on latest XOOPS Version)" in the description of the module (and others) if it is really okay to install this module in XOOPS 2.5.5 and later versions?

In fact, it is very discouraging to use the module for beginners or expert users when they read those words .... :(

I'll try to install and use it. Thank you very much!

Is there any XOOPS module that is able to show more detailed statistics of the website in the admin contorl or control panel page of XOOPS?

I've found iStat but it seems that it has not been updated for a long time and it may not be supported in the latest version of XOOPS (from XOOPS Module Repository). I'm using XOOPS 2.5.5 in the meantime.

Thanks a lot!

Hi, all!

For XOOPS 2.5.5, could you recommend the best practice of building a multilingual site using XOOPS?

I've used Wordpress's Multisite functionality and there are suggestions that "Multisite" may be used for managing multilingual sites, instead of using plugin/module, (e.g. each language may be built as "sub-directories", like "http://www.xyZ.com/en/" for English, "http://www.xyZ.com/jp/" for Japanese, etc.). The content of each sub-site of specific language is translated manually by local staff/translation expert, instead of by translation robot or Google's Translate.

How is the approach of XOOPS in dealing with multilanguage? Is Multisite functionality incorporated in XOOPS 2.6.0? Will SEO be affected by this functionality?

Thanks all!

Mamba, redheadedrod, and your other team developers, thank you very much!

Is there any planned date when XOOPS 2.6.0 beta be available? It seems that it now is in Alpha stage, right?

The size of 2.5.5. is large. Hope the coming 2.6 version will get slimmer and more eye-catching (Design wouldn't be ignored, I think).

I think XOOPS Taiwan (http://xoops.tn.edu.tw/ ) is great in making profits (not sure if it is great) from teaching, writing books about, web design using, and giving free forum discussion and free tutorial files of XOOPS. It has given many ways to spread the use of XOOPS and attract more users in the community of Taiwan and Hong Kong users.

Thank you very much!

Thank you all for your brilliant development of 2.5.5 Final. It's great! :)

Is it the final version of 2.5 branch? Will there be 2.5.6? Will the next version be 2.6.0 Final?

Thank you very much!
