Modification to PDLinks... ?

Hi, I just installed PD links and it works great but I need a quick mod and I was wondering if someone can assist me? I am not good in programming, I understand some syntax but thats about it.

Anyways, I am trying to list my Links by name (alphabetical order) and PDLinks does that. The problem is my links are numbered, so if I have 1-20, it won't list them 1-20 but rather 1, 10 , 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 2, 20... etc..

Is there a quick fix for this? or ... I think.. and correct me if I am wrong, but it uses the viewcat.php file to list the links, I just cant find where it defines how to list them...

anyways any help would be appreciated.

What news mod is it for? and how do I install it? (Did not find the instructions in *.zip file)

Hey, I did install AMS as well, it worked, but I still could not figure out how to make it so that I can post to my site's main page (top page). I guess what I really need is some simple news script where only the admin can post the news..

I like how AMS looks but yeh if you can tell me how to make it so that my news are displayed on my main page it would be great..

News Module

Hello,

I am trying to find a news module that will display the full article on the front page (as a block). So far I installed a few News Modules (News 1.44, Altern8 News, etc) but none have the option of placing the full news article on the main page. Do I have to hack the news module or are there modules that will let me place an article on the front page?

I am not interested in having users post articles, just me (the admin). Maybe I am looking at the wrong modules? Any help would be appreciated.

IPB Issue

Hi, my issue is simple I think, but I cant find the answer anywhere else. Basically, guests cannot view my forum, I have everything (at least I think everything) within the IPB set up so that guest can view it, but for some reason they cannot. I am not sure why... is there some special way to set permissions so that Guests can see IPB?

Hi,

I am new to this, and my question is this: I installed the XOOPS module and some other modules and I want to do some minor modifications:

For instance in my links module, it says: Post New Link
How can I change this to say for example: Post New Video


I opened up the code and I noticed that all of text is pre-defined using Smarty code, but I am not sure where is the file where all of this is defined. I am sure all I need to do is go to the file and modify what it says for each respective smarty...

For instance I think the Submitter or Poster title is defined as:

<{$smarty.const._MD_PDD2_SUBMITTER}>:</strong>

but how do I change _MD_PDD2_SUBMITTER to say something else?

lets say instead of Submitter: to say User Name:

etc.

Any help would be appreciated!
