well dear jilong.
i have seen your website!!!
great work but still need working on.
first some questions
1- witch version of smart profile are you using???
1 or 0.2???
can you just wait until wednesday?? cause ì`m reaching here from library and i`m not home to access on my files!!!
i have made some changes on my files and it will be useful for you, i`ll send it for you on wednesday on your mail and you have to upload these files on your host and replace it with the old files and at the end just upgrading your module by admin side(admin menu-->modules-->installed modules-->clicking on update sign)
and i hope your probleme will be gone!!!

and another thing on your site was the permissions in smart profile module( for example you dont have to give an access to your user`s to change their post amount)
any way i`ll send you the files on wednesday afternoon on your e-mail adress.

hmm...
i have no more idea about what`s going on,but i`ll have look on and say you an answer, cause i have added some lines in some other templates to do other functions.

just take it easy!!
there also some other bugs with this module, like people can change their username,they cant change their avatars, there is no change for default fields like signature(users cant use dhtml form for their signature witch is used by default in XOOPS edituser)and.....
any way is your problem solved or not yet???

well,
first thank you for visiting my website.
then Did you allowed new user registration? in Preferences by the admin side in smart profile module?
there is a box and should be on yes
and i`m using php5.0.5.
and there is nothing wrong with smartobject cause it`s just a framework. like happylinux in weblinks module.
dont think on smartobject

nothing is wrong just you have forgot to give a permission to guests on your website to access on smart profile module, to fix this
you have to go to system-->groups-->Guests-->Module Access rights, and mark the smart profile. and the end apply.
now everything has to be back in order!!

displayname is a part of XOOPS 2.2. check preferences to disallow changing username or displayname.. and allow avatar uploads etc etc. a displayname is not a username. only XOOPS 2.2 has that feature & not XOOPS 2.0.x

well i was talking about smartprofile in xoops2.0.16
i though we can make a field such as displayname in xoops2.2
but i was wrong.
about my problems:
1- people cant upload their avatars, that means they have no access on avatar in this module, and i`ve allowed them to upload their avtars but it doesn`t go
2-user`s can change their username with this module and i want
disable this action.
