I have tried to make smarty tags work by making this simple php page:

and it displays:

Why??

Do I need to configure anything in the server side?

Hi everybody,

Something is getting me mad... While Smarty Tags work perfectly for themes and modules in my Xoops-site, they actually do not work when I try to use them in any of theses cases:

a) HTML blocks
b) Content-Wrapping modules such as CJ-Content or WF-Channel.

For instance, if I put "<{$xoops_uname}>", I get literally "<{$xoops_uname}>" instead of "my_user_name".

What is happening? Do I need to set up anything in order to make it work?

However it does not work in my site. It displays "<{$xoops_uname}>" instead of the username.

In the theme and in the modules, smarty tags seem to work. However in every content I generate (HTML blocks, webpages connected via WF-Channel or CJ-Content, etc) it does not work!

I feel I might be missing setting up something in order to make it work. Is it possible?

I am using XOOPS 2.0.15 with the following modules: xLanguage; BackUp; Membership; DMS; WebMail-FX; Smart FAQ; CJay; Statistics; BM Multisurvey; xHelp and WF-Channel

Can anyone help? I think I am close to it!

Hi there,

I am not a programmer, however thanks to XOOPS I have been able to build up a very cool intranet site for my company (I am a poor entrepreneur and I have to do everything by myself...).

Now I am integratig some forms into xoops, using the WF-Channel module. I have done several pilots and it works fine. However I need one more thing....

I need to display user's username into the pages I set up (basically because username is a hidden field in every form I need to integrate, therefore I know who submitted the form).

What code should I introduce in order to make the "username" to be displayed?

Dear all,

I have set up a mortgage broker company in Madrid (Spain). I am one of those crazy entrepreneurs. Now I want to expand the concept by setting-up a network of "mortgage-agents", hopefully to sell mortgages throughout Spain and -why not- to other European countries!

I want to coordinate that sales-force by using an intranet portal. After some research I have decided to use XOOPS for that purpose. Currently I have a basic, beta version installed.

I need someone to develop XOOPS modules for me (PHP + MySQL). I have fairly clear in mind what I want so I can write the exact specifications in a document (In English)

The working procedure would be as follows:

a) I write the specifications in a document and send it to you by email.
b) You estimate how many hours it would take. We may agree an interval +/- 30% just in case. Also you tell me an approximate date to finish it.
c) I pay part of the budget beforehand to show my commitment, for example 1/3 of the bill.
d) After receiving a beta version of the module, I pay another 1/3 of the bill.
e) I try the module for a week and I make a list of bugs, detailing them. The bugs must be related to the original specifications: no room for "wishful thinking" here!
f) After solving those bugs I pay the last 1/3 of the bill.

And we repeat the process for more modules. If I like the results and how it works there may be tens of them.
