Re: Editing the message field size in newbb

I appreciate the reply but other than looking in /modules/newbb I'm not quite sure I understand. I have looked all over the newbb folder for a file that might have some parameters to edit but have had no luck as yet. Do you know which file it is?

Editing the message field size in newbb

Does anyone know how I change the height of the message field in newbb? You know the one I mean? Where you type your post before selecting 'Submit'.

Thanks.

I am aware of selecting 'Allow Custom Avatar Upload' but I cannot see where users are then offered the choice to upload their own avatar. There is a list of pre uploaded avatars to choose from but no other option that I can see. Might someone enlighten me?

Thanks for the reply. I guess I should give up now.

Merry Xmas for 2009 just in case I'm not about. I'm taking my bike test on Thursday!

When you move a post from one topic to another in CBB 2.32, the post just appears in the desired topic. If the user then navigates to his/her post they discover it missing and panic.

Is there a way to leave a ghost copy of the original thread in it's original position after it has been moved, such as with other forum software like phpBB and vBulletin?

I found a post which explained how to do it, so I did it. I hope that does the trick. Thanks.

Yes, I spent some time using several strings but nothing relevant. Does this have something to do with 'sessions'? As I'm not sure of the terminology I may have missed something. It's ok searching when you know what you're searching for if you catch my drift.

A user contacted me to say that after leaving her machine at work, where she was logged in, she then logged in at home and noticed her name appeared twice in the list of members online.

Can anyone suggest why or how this might happen?

I'm using 2.2.3 but please shout if you need more info.

Add new poll...sometimes

I start a thread and decide to add a new poll, I click 'New Poll' button, enter the details and submit. 'Database updated successfully etc...' and then no poll!! Gone, disappeared, vanished, absent, invisible, not there!

Funily, I can try later or in another forum category and it works straight away, no problem. I can return to that same working forum category and have another attempt but it then tells me to **** off!! Is this some bug perhaps? Have I missed some permission settings? Did I use the 'search' facility before posting here? Any ideas? Thanks.
