A user contacted me to say that after leaving her machine at work, where she was logged in, she then logged in at home and noticed her name appeared twice in the list of members online.

Can anyone suggest why or how this might happen?

I'm using 2.2.3 but please shout if you need more info.

Yes, I spent some time using several strings but nothing relevant. Does this have something to do with 'sessions'? As I'm not sure of the terminology I may have missed something. It's ok searching when you know what you're searching for if you catch my drift.

I am not at all familiar with 2.2 series - but you could try to repair of sessions table and see if it does the trick - often solves login type problems. It can't hurt to try it.
