i.e. to have all changes overwrite the current article without creating a new version?

i have created a menu with multimenu, all the items have a small squares to the left of them and the 2nd level menu is in italics. I see that the menu is a nested ul. Which file do I need to edit so that i can add a class or id to the ul to make it the way I want?
If this is not the proper way to do it, please let me know how I should proceed?

thanks

i want to create a few short articles so that i can have:
section a
- subsection a
--articlea1
--articlea2
--articlea3
section b
- subsection b
--articleb1
--articleb2
--articleb3

I would also like to categorise the articles in a different way, e.g.
category a
-articlea1
-articlea2
-articleb3

I was thinking of using the news or some other modules for the articles and then have different multimenus to organise them in the way I want, is this possible?
I guess I am not sure IF i needed a navigation module + an articles module or is there one module that will do the trick.

just installed but couldn't figure out how to lose the paddings on either side of the box so that it is displayed flushed up to the left and right of the column.

I have managed to get it working, I had to paste the database connect info. into the content box. I have a feeling there must be some better way of doing this...
