The Quinte community - requesting reviews

Quinte is the region I live in which encompasses several small towns and cities in eastern Ontario.

I've been working on this site for a couple weeks now and feel that it is starting to come together nicely. There are still plenty of modifications and customizations I want to perform and i'm interested in receiving some reviews.

Basic stats?

Anyone know where i can get a mod that will display the following information in a block on the main page?

- number of registered users
- number of approved article
- number of approved classifieds
- number of approved directory links
- number of approved web links
- number of FAQs
- number of events
- number of forum posts

I've tried virtually ever stat mod in the module repository and couldn't get any of them to work.

Any help would be apprciated! :)

P.S. my XOOPS implementation is nearing completion, should send you all out a link within a week.

never mind.... the original changes i made actually did work.... the pages were being cached or something.... looks fine now.

Most of you probably know this already....

A temporary work around is to login with phpMyAdmin, select the XOOPS database, select the xoops_xdir_links table, browse that table, edit the record that needs approval, then change the "status" field from "0" to "1" and save it.

xcgal template modifications?

What i'm running

Xoops Version 2.0.13.1
xcgal Version 1.1

Ok.. this is driving me nuts.....

I've been trying to modifiy the tables in xcgal. Mainly when you click a thumbnail, the resulting page that shows the larger pic and allows you to vote on it.

No matter what i try i cannot make any changes to the page. I've modified the CCS files, xcgal_display.html, xcgal_footer.html, xcgal_header.html and more.

I've also ensured that the module cache is turned off... not that i know if that would make a difference.

It almost seems to me that It is being cached somewhere but damned if i can figure out where...

I've modified other modules without this type of problem and cannot figure out why this is happening...

Just so you know.... i want to change the table width from 600px to 100% and add some text to the footer.


Any Ideas?

Oh.. almost forgot.... AWESOME GALLERY!

xdirectory and xoops 2.0.13.1

Hi all

On the advice of "otr222" i've installed XOOPS verison 2.0.13.1 and it's working great.

I also installed the latest download of xdirectory and that is working fine also.... one thing though...

After submitting a listing... it must be approved... when i go to approve a listing on the "listings waiting for validation" page the listing information that was entered by the user is shown.. but that's it.. no button or anthying for actually "activating" the listing...

Currently there are 4 wating to be actived.. but can only see the first one that was submitted...

Any ideas?

I see that there are two versions of XOOPS available, both recently updated...

Can anyone tell me the difference between them and why I would choose one over the other?

Installing Classifieds on E-Xoopport 2.0.1

I'm trying to add the xoop classifieds mod to E-Xoopport 2.0.1 and i'm getting the following error in the modules seciton.


Fatal error: Call to undefined function: xoops_getmodulehandler() in /<my phycical path>/modules/catads/xoops_version.php on line 93



I was going to post in the E-Xoopport website forum.. but i don't understand the language...

Any ideas what's going on here?
