Hi, XOOPS has been the answer for me moving out a bunch of my ideas from my head to the web! Most sites are light on content but adding content will be an ongoing goal of mine.

Please comment on the features I am using, how they can be used better? What different features or modules I could be utilizing. Full explanations in the least technical terms would be appreciated.

Strange problem with statscounter.

Ok, I have successfully installed statscounter on 4 XOOPS sites and they work perfectly. I install them in the footer on the meta page. For some reason on one of my sites it just won't work....I can't figure out why. I have reinstalled the code three times and still no go. Please help.

I have the default home page set up to be Headlines but I want to have a block with an article on top of that. So I set news up with a weight of 1 (and headlines as 2) and checked off the same block (center). But I end up having only the news feed and nothing else. I then got a story on top of the news feed for the home page but only when logged on to admin???? No idea what I did but when I log out the story disappears, and I can't even find the story to edit it.

please help if you can

I am using ftp desktop and when I connect I only have two folders I can go into mail and pub and neither has my XOOPS stuff there.

How do I figure out where to connect via ftp to send files to my site? The site is www.freecasinolessons.com and the folder is public_html/modules (I want to try and install the tutorial module).

My first theme install, questions.

Ok I have downloaded my theme and unzipped it on my hard drive. I went to dir=/home/freecasi/public_html/themes and there is an option to upload files but I can only choose one file at a time. I guess I am doing it wrong. Any help?

Can anyone tell me from experience which one is the best? I did find another brief thread on this subject but was hoping to get advice from someone who is using a module sucessfully already.
