Two questions - cookies and xoops version

Hey everyone,

I have two quick questions:

1) XOOPS obviously uses cookies but by default, they're being rejected by the web browser. Is there any way to make your website "legit" so the cookies are accepted by default? That would be much easier than having to explain to everyone that uses the website how to enable cookies for that website. ;) I did some searching on it and it seems you need a P3P Policy or something, but all the generator/creating software for that costs money. Anything really basic and free out there?

2) Second and probably a stupid question -- how do you check what XOOPS version your website is running?

Thanks!

Bump.

Looking for the same info. Any way to have Liaise send the form to a specified email address rather than an entire group?

Ah bummer. Well, now I know. ;) I didn't have too many documents in it so no biggy.

However, could anyone help me with this question?

"Also, I tried reinstalling DMS but I can't seem to get it to work. The repository folder I'm trying to use is in the /modules/dms/, so for the repository path line would I just enter /repository ? I've tried nearly everything I could think of with no success."

Ah, good point. It's DMS version 1.4.

No errors afaik.

Is there any other document management module out there? DMS seems like the best one, but I'm not sure why it stopped working.

Afternoon everyone,

I had the Document Management System installed on my site with documents on it (word and pdf). It was working fine until just the other day I realized it was empty. The only thing I changed was I installed XOOPS Gallery. XOOPS Gallery has a problem where whatever admin account you use to install it won't work with the gallery itself. Well, that was my primary account so I had to delete it and recreate it. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with DMS but it's the only thing I could think of. Could anyone confirm?

Also, I tried reinstalling DMS but I can't seem to get it to work. The repository folder I'm trying to use is in the /modules/dms/, so for the repository path line would I just enter /repository ? I've tried nearly everything I could think of with no success.

Anyways, appreciate any help I could get. Thanks.

Evening everyone,

I'm trying to get XoopsGallery installed but I recieve the following error when I get to Step 5 of the Gallery 2.1 Installer:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '-1' (2) in /nfs/aesop13/hw03/d50/afrotc/web/modules/photogallery/engine/lib/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 348
localhost: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '-1' (2)

I'm using the same exact settings that I did to setup XOOPS itself, so I'm confused why this isn't working. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
