WordPress has these features

It seems I am crazy

I installed wordpress on a test install of xoops, and saw no option to use XOOPS comments.

I to would really like to hear from someone about using XOOPS comments with wordpress.

What about using the news module as an alternative for a blog?

Maybe I am just crazy, but when I installed WordPress I could have sworn at the time I had the option of choosing XOOPS comments or wordpress comments.

Now that I've been using xoops/wordpress for a few weeks I've found that I'd like to change to XOOPS comments but don't see that option anymore :(

I'm going to make a test install of XOOPS tonight and install wordpress to see if this option is there on install

I had posted this over at xoopsgallery, but have had no response, hoping someone here may be able to help me.

Here is what I want to achieve;

* Change the font settings for xoopsgallery only
* On the main gallery page show album table very similar to this site
* On the main gallery page do not show owner (it will always be the same)
* On the main gallery page drop the thumbnail so it is inline with the top of the description
* When veiwing the album thumbnails only show the caption and an asterix if there is a comment

Now I've read up on themes/templates and understand the difference.
I can't find a css file just for gallery so the changes I make to style.css effect the whole site - I don't want this. (Modifiying the WordPress module was easy as it had it's own css)
To remove the album owner from the main page I thought I would have to modify xoops_gallery_index.html but I am afriad I'm getting lost in there

Any help to get me in the direction of achieving what I want to modify would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to make 'real name' a required field for user registration.

I have taken a look at register.php and userinfo.php and my head is spinning.

I know squat about php but have made some smaller changes by trial and error. This one has really got me stumped though and I'd appreciate a push in the right direction.

Thanks!

I've read that article three time now and I can't find anything about converting an existing WordPress install into a XOOPS install.

Thanks anyway!

Hello,

I have had a site up for about a month with WordPress and Gallery running. Now I have found XOOPS and would like to convert.

I have searched the forums but have been unable to find any posts about migrating either WordPress or Gallery installs into XOOPS installs.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks!
