My site at times links to a home server web page which is not always on line
Is there any way to word a script that will take you to the link when the server is running but take you to an alternative page when the server is down

Have noticed on occasions my rss feeds that are shown on other sites do not appear to get updated despite using various ping sites.
I'm positive it's not a problem with XOOPS but has anyone any tips for ensuring your feed gets updated quickly?
