Is there an option in the forums to do this? I'm a newB but haven't found anything that looks like this.

I installed XOOPS several months ago and got basic stuff up and running at that time. Now I'm back to working on it and have set up a private forum and have increased activity in that forum, so I'd like to see all the posts in a thread at one time.

Thanks

I just got XOOPS installed and working a few days ago so please bear with my newbie questions. I've played around with installing and activating various blocks and modules. Now I'm trying to actually set up my site to do what I want to do.

I need to be able to upload a couple files that users can then download. I don't need users to be able to upload files (yet). I'm a bit confused by the default mydownloads module that comes with xoops. I don't see any way to upload files via that module. Am I supposed to upload files via ftp into the uploads directory, and then use the mydownloads module to point to files there?

I've also searched the forum about this and found a couple threads that helped a bit but also led to confusion, here they are :

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=16805&forum=4#forumpost93926

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=21391&forum=30#forumpost93012

From these 2 threads, it looks like there are 2 different groups of people working on the same mydownloads module? I'm trying to install the version from the wf-section people atm, we'll see how that goes.

Thanks, that mostly did it, you were right. The only remaining ones I've found after that so far are a _PREFERENCES and _CLOSE in the block that pops up when you mouseover the blocks that I've added, such as polls and news.

I have a variety of what looks like variables names such as _LOGOUT and _YOURHOME instead of what I'm assuming should be images and buttons. So far it's only on the admin pages and not on the site that a non-adming user would see, since I've added a couple blocks and the site looks fine.

I got interrupted many times while ftp'ing XOOPS to my site and re-started several times, guessing at what point and what file I was at when I got disconnected. So I'm assuming I'm missing some kind of mapping file or properties file that maps variables to images.
