Ok...changed it from:

DirectoryIndex index.html index.html.var

to

DirectoryIndex index.php index.html.var

Still didn't work :(

I also tried changing:

ScriptAlias /php/ "c:/php/"

to:

ScriptAlias /php/ "c:/PHP/"

I forgot that I made the php dir PHP not php. (All caps).

And that didn't work.

Yep, php and mysql. Have a feeling its a config somewhere. I configed the httpd.conf with:

ScriptAlias /php/ "c:/php/"

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .phtml

Action application/x-httpd-php "/php/php.exe"

Is it my php.ini maybe?

Please bear with me...very new at this, having said that,

Just tried to install XOOPS on a Win2k. Running Apache/MySQL on it.

When I go to thehttp://yourdomain.com I get the:

Seeing this instead of the website you expected?

When I use the direct URL I get the actual PHP code showing up. :(

Also, I tried to go to just the dirhttp://mydomain/html/install and I get a listiing of the dir. Guess that's be permissions? Anyways, like I said when I go to the direct URL install.php the actual PHP code is displayed. Any help will be greatly apprieciated. Thx.

You were right, I changed the hosts file on a remote computer (ie - 66.60.156.26 www.tiwahe.com) and I was able to loigin no problems.

As far as the free DNS I tried xname.org still had probs. I think the biggest prob is with GoDaddy.com, when I have it point to my IP, and check the masked option, it just doesn't work. Even tried changing the servers with them. No luck. I talked to a friend and he recommended dotearth.com as they will do that for you ($15 a year). WOuld like the free route...but...screw it, when I get the $15 up, i'm renewing with dotearth.com Thx for all of your help.

It's really normal that XOOPS put's your content a lot lower then you expect. Put al your code before your text on 1 line. Difficult, but it works. XOOPS makes from every hard enter <BR>. Don't expect more . Normally if you put all your code on 1 line your content wil be on the 2 second line. Greeetz,

P.S.:Plz remove a bit from your message, we now it's long

Ok...I've had the same porb, and ended up putting the table elsewhere out of the site...and linking to it. So what your saying, if I put the whole table code on one line i'll be alright? (One blank line instead of several).

Is there a way to insert a javascript? The reason I ask is...I want to make it so when users click on a link in on of my sections, use javascript to set the size of the new window to open with no scool bars and buttons etc.

Thx in advance.

Cool...will try that when I get home. Its like that because the way GoDaddy.com is set up it will point tiwahe to 66.60.156.26, but for whatever reason, thats what I get displayed in the address bar. I talked to a friend, and when I can get up $25, i'm going to go thru dotearth.com as he had the same prob, but dotearth.com was able to fix the prob with the way they do DNS.

Login Error

I tried to login from somewhere other than local..it kicked me back to the login screen. The forgotten pw email worked tho. Is this bug? Is there a fix? This is frustrating...any help will be greatly apprieciated. If that don't work, could I just disable logins? Thx in advance.

Or...you could try to login here and see what I mean:
