Hi there,

I'd like to be able to display my login/user blocks a little bit differently than normal - I would like them to be horizontal in a little bar across the top of my site:

http://www.streettalk.co.nz/index1.php

You can see where I'd like it at the top right (profile notifications logout is sitting there currently), but currently it's on the left hand block menu.

How can I move it up there?

Many thanks! :)

Rachel

Problem Upgrading to News 1.2

Hi there,

I thought I'd upgrade to News 1.2 from News 1.1 but now I'm in a panic that maybe I've mucked everything up :(

I uploaded the files to the news directory and clicked on the upgrade button, no problems it said updating everything.

But, now when I click on the News module (via the admin or via the user interface), I get an internal server error (http://www.streettalk.co.nz/modules/news/)

Can anyone help - I'd most appreciate any :)

Rachel

I'm wondering if it's possible for admins to be able to post to the news page without having to do a 2-step publish?

My reasoning being that I want my site to be as lightweight as possible and I don't see a reason why a "New topic" link should be displayed as an image. I'd rather it was a text link...

Sorry if I'm not making myself clear:

I want to replace this code:

<a href="newtopic.php?forum=27"><img src="https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/images/post.gif"></a>

with this code:

<a href="newtopic.php?forum=27">New topic</a>

I want to switch from having an image that says "New Topic" to text saying "New Topic" (I don't want to create a new image).

I'd like to change the default "New Topic" image to simply be text. What's the best way to do this?

Thanks everyone - I've decided (after much testing, searching and reading) to go with XOOPS :)

One newbie question I have: is it possible to set up a page for people to sign up to be notified when the site goes live using XOOPS - i.e. they can register but that's it?
