Nina

Thanks for your suggestion, but I actually sorted out the problem myself.

I removed the version of MySQL and installed an older version 4.xxx which solved the problem.

cheers

Hi people.

OK I've installed XOOPS before v1.3 I think and had no problem, however I am currently suffering from this:

Saving configuration data..
File ../mainfile.php overwritten by ../mainfile.dist.php.
Failed writing constant D:/*****.
Failed writing constanthttp://www.*****.**.**.
Failed writing constant mysql.
Failed writing constant xoops.
Failed writing constant localhost.
Failed writing constant *****. (replaced for security)
Failed writing constant ********.
Failed writing constant xoops.
Failed writing constant 0.
Failed writing constant 1.
Failed writing constant 2.
Failed writing constant 3.
Failed writing constant 1.

Configuration data has been saved successfully to mainfile.php.

I am installing to a Windows XP machine with SP2 and the following:

Apache 2.0.55
MySQL 5.0.19
PHP 5.1.2
xoops-2.0.13.2

I am assuming that one or more of these is incompatible with XOOPS or I can not see the wood for the trees and I am missing something.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hi

I am already using 1.3, my understanding was that this worked fine with XOOPS 2.x.

Hi Everyone,

I have loaded both of the above menu systems one at a time to see how they work, however although each appears to load correctly and I have setup to diplay them in blocks and groups, they refuse to show up on my home page.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Hello again everyone, another question if you don't mind. I was wondering if there is a module I could use to keep a database of equipment for example PC's Printers, and other hardware, serial numbers, even warranty information, I know XOOPS is not exactly designed for this but it seems it can do almost anything else (except make tea)

Anyone with any knowledge of this?

Thanks once again, good health and happiness to everyone!

Regards

Hello again everyone, Hope all are well and having a good summer.

I have a small problem, I am creating XOOPS site for internal use, and want to launch the site in IE using Kiosk Mode thus I will have no obvious way to exit the site / IE when a user has finished. I was wondering if there was a way that I could using HTML for example close internet explorer when a user loged out.

The idea I suppose would be that a user loged out and this prompted a command to close internet explorer?

If anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate the help.

Long live XOOPS "The very Best"

Regards

Yogiman!

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone suggest a module that I could use to manage Game Walkthoughs that does not involve linking to other file types, or a module that allows me to create a small amount of text, a screen shot, and then a link to for example a PDF file?

All help appreciated

Best Regards

Hi everyone.

I am attempting to get the SQMail module to work using the free mail server MailEnable.

I have edited the config.php file and installed the module and it says that it was successful however when I try to login to the mail section, it tells me it could not connect to an IMAP server even though I changed the settings for SMTP services.

I know I have probably missed something. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Best Regards

yogiman!
