One way that I notice alot of E/N sites such as myself are making their money is by selling links in a noticeboard at the very top of their site. Basically... it would be a module that randomly chooses 4 or 5 links (that expire) for a database of them upon every refresh of the page. And then there would be a counter so that people can see how much traffic they would be getting:

Example:
Zfilter
It's at the very top of the page.

I have no programming skill.. so I'm not sure hard it would be to integrate into xoops.

Yeah.. I changed it like you said and itstill does the same thing. Anyone have any other suggestions?

this module works great. but when it comes to my list of referrers, they've all been from other pages within my site.

My Istats

Is there some way to turn off logging from links within my own site so that I don't just have a bunch of links to things from my own site?

some sort of hit logging referrer script that just about every site has nowadays.. but that would be installable as a module.. since my php knowledge is pretty much non-existant. i figured that someonje probably already made it.. and i'm just being daft.. but i haven't seen any around.

For some reason, I can no longer view profiles on my site.
When I click a user name, it just goes to a blank page and the title bar says done.

There is this skinner than does various skins for computer desktops and other programs called DuoPixels. If there is any chance a theme could be based on ANY of his work.. it would be an instant success.

Hmm.. what are the chances of some randomizing picture rating module being created? Probably slim to none, but one can dream, can't they?

I've wanted to start a jokes section but have it completely independent of my news module. so, i was wondering what the chances are of someone making a news-like modules.. but with a rating system instead of comment or maybe comments AND a rating system. And also.. the ability to sort the jokes/articles by their rating would be awesome as well.

Hey guys... I'm new to all this.. as my dumb questions in other portions of the forums probably indicated, but I just wanted to get some feedback as to what I can do to help improve the progress of my site. I'm open to just about any suggestion... so fire away.. good, bad or otherwise.
